Seems like the least they had to do XDD

"First impressions count, so I need to play this to perfection. If I get his mother on my side, it's game, set, and match. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

I’d say chaotic neutral. Chaotic because I see him rather following his own set of principles and laws than walking the middle ground between lawful and chaotic.
But definitely neutral, albeit leaning towards good. View More

I work part time at a retirement home specialized in demented people.
And it’s not unusual for them to not remember their spouses or children. Well they know they have children and spouses but often they remember them from when they where young.

One of the people living at the home constantly alternate between forgetting that her husband is dead and then remembering it. And then she asks about her daughter and who is taking care of her, as if her daughter is still a little child even though her daughter is now 70 years old.

Dementia is a terrible disease. View More

Since I started reading this a week and a half or so ago I have actually started to get back into many of my old pass times including building a new forge. Thank you for reigniting my spark for craftsmanship

Yes i agree that there are many instances where it just negates or opposes like unqualified or unethical.
The difference in my opinion is in the words where it does have the undoing of the root word as a meaning are verbs that are undoable. And the reason for my interpretation of unage is that to age is a verb that is in theory undoable.
As for “aging backwards is still aging” that I can agree on, but that is just for that choice of words.

But I can also agree that something that is unaging is something that stays the same as something that never age.

So there might be a difference between someone unaging and someone that is unaging. View More

headlimit: Hence why i said it does not specifically equal to undo as there are other instances where it negate or oppose it,instead of meaning undo specifically.in this regard im more inclined to think that unaging means to stop aging instead of aging backward(backward still kinda age,or like growing younger, hence the term unaging, still doesnt fit the description)

Then we are in disagreement on the meaning of the word unage. There are multiple occasions where the “un” prefix makes the word mean undo the root word.
Undress, unpack, untie, untidy, unload etc. View More

headlimit: Un is to negate.un does not equal undo.as do is..wel to do.when u negate it in undo its become opposite of doing, hence to undo things.but age is to grow old.unagingeans to negate age which is to not grow.it doesnt mean age backward.

It might be the literal translation, but is it the correct translation to use. That will be hard to know until we know how the fountain actually work.

Translation is not always about using the literal translation, it should also consider idioms, proverbs and common expressions of the translated to language.

For example the literal translation of a proverb in my country to English is:
don’t shout hello before you’re over the river.
But the actual English equivalent is:
don’t count your chickens before they hatch.

An other example is:
Tense as an arrow.
The literal translation from my language would be:
Tense like a bow View More

memehilist: It is indeed literally, word by word, a direct translation from the original. Although 'Fountain of Everyouth' or 'Fountain of Ethernal Youth' may sound better, thats the name author created and the translaters can only roll with it lol.

But to unage is different from stoppning to age, like the difference between stopping to do something and undoing it. Hence the “fountain of unageing” should undo your aging not merely stop it. View More

MoonlitOrchard: A fountain of youth would return you to a youthful state forever I believe. This fountain would merely stop your aging but keep your appearance the same before you drank it.

Ozwin: Dany boy here really shows why sidekicks are such popular literary devices. Look at all the opportunities to be cool he is giving Klein! Look how much fun it is to view Klein from this other perspective that knows nothing about him, not to mention he makes Klein look better by comparison with how cowardly (reasonably so though imo) his thoughts are!

Is “fountain of unaging” really the right name... especially when Donna asked if you gain eternal youth from it.
That sounds like a question for a “fountain of youth”
“Fountain of unaging” sounds like aging backwards not remaining youthful. View More
