Ekc: This is a very entertaining novel. I give it all my votes every day.
But dont fall for this privilege scheme. You pay the the privilege to see chapter titles NOT the chapter content. You still have to pay to unlock. I was fooled. Don't be like me.

Ehbon: Seems they want to force you to download their app if you want to read the ‘privileged’ chapters. They’ve gone the route of restricting what you can see on the normal site because the app isnt good enough on its own to get downloads. Why am I not surprised...

Waylander133: i really dont think so in this case because those three laws are common knowledge. It is a sort of trope that a lot of scifi works use as the "three laws of robotics" or another name (like here) without direct reference to his creator. In fact, putting this laws in a novel is like a direct reference to Asimov works. It has already be done a lot, with Asimov still alive, without any issue. And like i already said, it is a important reference in ethics works on IA. And, in fact, a reference of the popular culture. It is a bit like a fantasy novel that have a spell names Avada Kedavra i think. look here : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Three_Laws_of_Robotics_in_popular_culture

Dene323: The Fool should have left the mess in the hall untouched. When the next Tarot Club gathering happens, just as Miss Justice and Mr. Hangman are in shock of what caused the damage and start floating some doubts about this "powerful" being, the Fool could calmly crack a joke "the Enternal Blazing Sun paid a visit lately. Dude was violent as usual".

The author used an individual objective paragraph to describe Jin Tuyi’s heartbeat and flow of blood remaining absolutely the same even when he’s talking about actually performing Red Tide plan. And Li Yao thought he would slightly loose his self control when discussing his precious plan.
So performing the plan maybe not enough for him to speeding up heartbeat a little, and maybe he’s so unbelievably smart and intentionally increased his heartbeat and flow of blood in front of LY to send some message to manipulate or mislead LY’s deduction and action.
Or maybe he just got outsmarted by LY, cause he shouldn’t know the true function of that communicator... View More

Quark: Mistaking character arcs for filler smh. Besides people don't use the word filler correctly anymore. It used to mean random story arcs that had nothing to do with the main story and had no impact when it came to the main story or its characters. Now its just become the word for people who've become bored with a part of the story.

deacon_burns: I know right. We tend to forget that our lovable main character is extremely young, tho he is immensely powerful and immensely cunning for his age. I love how the author shows that, and that's where you see him trip-up is where his inexperience comes in, even tho he has seen an awful lot for his age.

Krebert: Because there's less instant gratification than in other novels. You have to invest time and thought into this novel to really enjoy it.
Before I read this novel and a few rare others like Crazy Lich, I had regarded Chinese Web Novels as essentially low-brow entertainment: Super fun to read and easy to waste time on, but never thought-provoking. Just an enjoyable way to rot your brain cells like drinking alcohol.
But this story is clearly different. It's still not a literary masterpiece, but it's well thought-out, poses interesting questions and dilemmas, the MC succeeds through hard work and ingenuity more than by luck or by strength. It's definitely more intellectually satisfying, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's more "fun" or that it's the best novel to just kill time by reading.
Different purposes lead to different ranking systems when it comes to deciding the "best" of things.
