This part would have been better if the author had removed all the clunky foreshadowing and speculation from before...

[1. The writer is estimated to be 19 years old, a female, right-handed, height between 1.70-1.77 meters, of a normal build, slightly plump.]

This is why you follow the prescription guys!!

"Don't worry about him. He won't wake up anytime soon. He must be dreaming. I poured all the sleeping powder I brought secretly into his water glass. This dosage will keep him asleep until we reach the Korabo Legion's base."

I'm starting to think that Demon Cultivators are just a bunch of losers

It was a shame that this particular sucker was a demon cultivator with a tattered body, but there was nothing the great emperor Hou Niu couldn't fix. All he had to do was wait until this demon cultivated the Hou emperor's sutra to a high level.

Are we the baddies?

Ma Roulan felt terror in the deepest recesses of her mind. She just lost control of her body. She danced, knelt, laid on her back, and purred like a kitten. Even though she was forced to smile, tears were streaming down her cheeks. Shi Hong threw a booklet in front of Ma Roulan. "This is the Thousand Puppets Sutra, which I wrote. Guess what I've put in it. My control is far more comprehensive and concealed than these amateurish attempts. I was aware of all these from the beginning. Oh, and Elder Ma, please shed your naivete. The world is a wild place."

I like this more Eldritch take on the Heavenly Dao 🙂‍↕️

"Third, never let your will die under the pressure of the heavens. As you cultivate, you will be tempted to act according to the will of the heavens. That is a mistake. That is a path to ruin. You would become a terrifying being that roams the land, committing random acts, be they cruel or benevolent. Just like nature itself, you would know no mercy. There was a dao entity that ran circles around a rock because there was a loop in the spiritual energy flow of the world in that exact spot. Those things are not living beings."

My guess is that some techniques use this quirk to get stronger than their level or hold control over their disciples...

Elder Ma smiled. "First things first, you must not let spiritual energy penetrate your flesh. When rogue spiritual energy penetrates one's flesh, it devastates it. Worse yet, it causes uneven distribution of your cultivation level. When the cultivation level is uneven, the flesh with the higher cultivation stabs into the flesh with lower cultivation. When a practitioner is in such a predicament, that means that person lives in constant pain. Constant torment causes irritability, mental instability, and stress. Sometimes spiritual energy directly penetrates the brain. In such cases, one may become a simpleton, suffer from convulsions, become ruthless, or worse, die. Such cases are called Qi deviation. People who cultivate despite having Qi deviation are called demons. Those who tread this path are called demonic cultivators. Sects that teach such unstable techniques are called demonic sects."

That's actually cooler than the x% damage modifier monks usually get...

Weaker cultivators could also "kill" ghosts, although this would typically lead to the ghost dispersing and requiring quite a bit of time to reform, as opposed to the purification performed by monks.

These are amature hours but this quidan so I don't really expect the Author to be able to introduce expo in an interesting way 🙃 might as well rip the bandage off early...

As some clever readers may have guessed from the notice of efficiency and the different types of feedback Di Tou is receiving, the more efficient, graceful and effective the cleaning is, the better the reward. As for Di Tou, the only thing he did half decent was making his bed. Now you may be asking, he did it half decent and it was only 7% what the hell were these standards? The answer is, the scroll did things by the standard of the Divine, so the expectations were more then a little bit higher then what we realistically do on a day to day basis. Even a professional cleaning staff on earth might not be able to get higher than 25% on their first few tries, while a professional sanitation system in a laboratory might only reach up to 40% or 50%. As for the element of "grace," you can consider it this way, the path Di Tou was on was becoming a "Legendary" janitor. The word "Legendary" represents a lot in this world, but at bare minimum it can be considered a figure of some status, so their actions must be elegant, not just efficient.

Bro are you sure this isn't a draft?

Then there was the Reflection Page. This page is a little bit complicated and will be explored in greater detail later in the story, but for now let's just explain what Di Tou could see at the moment.

I'd have done the same thing 😅

At this point Di Tou didn't know what to do and quietly started crying, which quickly broke into a full out sob. The day hadn't been very long, but he had gone through so much already. He had been thrust into this unknown situation, and this unknown body and he had starved for the first time in a long time, he had no clue if he would ever be able to make it home, or what he could to do to get out of this situation. Truly, if one looked back on the last few hours, how Di Tou had managed to keep his composure up to this point, and had managed to (relatively) calmly play the hand he had been dealt, we would have to give him a round of applause.

Too bad he lacks any of the senses a regular tree has...

Although after reincarnating as a willow tree he didn't have to worry about hunger or thirst, he had lost his sight, hearing, and tactile sensations, feeling dazed and aimless as if he were a walking corpse.

The issue is spirit roots, i.e. the ordinary clansmen don't have them. That's why there was the talk of needing a large population to produce cultivators, as they're really rare.

"Since you insist on raising the disciples of the clan, I will give you a target. If the refining workshop's annual net profit can reach more than three thousand spirit stones, I will agree to your request!"
