I thought that you would let some of the wills practice dark side and let them take over, but leave enough wills on the light side to bring him back . You could even mock other people when he waits for 3 hits .

And as quick side note to end this AN, Atlas won't be harem-protagonist-level dense. He does notice the reactions of others, especially as his Perception goes up. After all, in chapter 4, he does notice that Septima is trying to ask him out, he's just a little slow with that realization. But this slight 'density' is in character for Atlas. He's not a social creature. His Social Skill is the lowest of his skill categories. He's a bookworm/nerd at heart, dedicated to learning magic. He's getting better at the Social skills but sometimes I need him to be a bit dense for story/humor purposes.

It stayed behind when I got Heather's attention and she stopped. So I assumed it belonged to her. Or Hermione, I guess. But the dog's reaction to my words was surprisingly… Human. Its eyes widened when I said my name and then its tail began to wag so hard I was a bit worried it was going to fall off. The dog looked like it was happier to see me than it had been about anything else for a long time. A bit of light even seemed to surface in its eyes almost as if it was remembering something long-forgotten.
