What relying on himself? Cu handled almost everything, or the benefits for the system did with rewards and snippets of information. The only rely on himself he did was barely the building of Taoyun or whatever it's called. Even that was not used by him since he didn't have to learn everything from scratch and had the nebenefits of the Everlasting Temple or whatever he gave up without real concern.

Over the years, he had grown accustomed to relying on himself and absolutely avoided relying on others completely. Even if he had saved someone's life, so what? Seeking gratitude might ultimately result in turning friendship into hostility.

Its them using Bankai not Shikai.. The Shikai state is the same as soul reapers, using a release phrase and all that.

The writing is great. that I can say. Characters and depictions of them not so much. The Naruto comes off less as a version of himself from the series and more of a pull from other fanfictions. The potrayl of DC characters are just hit and miss at most times. The skill of AU Naruto and strength just does not fit against other DC characters.
