RoRoRo: That's . . . really interesting. While I'm not inspired by any writer in particular I have certainly read many of their works, so it makes sense my style reflects a bit of it.
I agree about the diarie. While I originally saw it as a chance to give more information on topics I deemed important, it is a bit much. I'll take a look back and see what I can do so as not to ruin the immersion and enjoyment of the story.
As for the Harry Potter thing, don't worry. The set up from that series has no relation with what I'm doing. It'll definitely make sense later on in the novel.
Overall, thanks for your thoughts. You might notice things get a bit more fleshed out and detailed than usual for a webnovel. This is because I'm used to traditional literature and new to the pacing and storytelling of lighter novels. Your opinions have been very valuable and I hope you stay with me.
