Oh boy, mind diving into the consciousness of Gothamites is an utterly suicidal behaviour, whether it's Victor, Cobblepot, or the worst of them all the Joker none of them are easy people, if this guy thinks he can enter such unique minds without consequences then he is in for a huge suprise.

First scared by Cobblepot, then frozen by Victor, yet Hugo still didn't want to give up. He thought that this might also be an unlikely coincidence; two geniuses with unique consciousness spaces gathered together and became master and apprentice. As slim as this possibility was, it was not impossible.

This was an absolutely amazing chapter, this last line in particular truly encapsulates the relationship between the Batman and the Joker as one between an audience and a Clown who wants to make them laugh, one of the best chapters I have read so far.
