man what's really annoying is seeing people commenting that have no reading comprehension

Dojin paused."No, not yet." A bird landed next to him. "Why, you ask? Because, unlike you, I am a dreamer." His thoughts swirled. He imagined Baek Ji-ah. "I like to imagine that there's still a way to a better future." He, too, faced the sky. "The world has yet to begin. I wish to see where my decisions lead me. I want to see if you can change."

Look man I don't know about the MC or anyting (it's your opinion) but your argument for the gangsters holds no ground. bro, really? Next time when you get robbed or stabbed don't call the police, the person may have led a sad life, it wasn't his fault. I had to audibly chuckle reading that part lol.

so power is based on the story of their lifes? Good idea. I wonder what I'll get lol? Since I read a lot of novels, maybe reader?

It gave them a chance to rebel. A chance to not be forgotten. It gave them power, skills, born from their lives to fight back. Akin to mercy, as if telling them their long history lived on earth was not in vain, and this was their only chance to prove it—their whole existence, summarized succinctly in one message:

oh

Lee Dojin knew. Only he did. The universe was a deep ocean and civilizations hid in the corners where no light ever hit. All, except for humanity, ignorant to the many silent voices. And the consequences for such behavior would become clear with the appearance of The Mirage, also known as the system. A predator that swallowed all. It was the great filter.

Great Filter

The theory suggests: every civilization, after reaching past its infancy—be it through war, intelligence, magic, or even something else entirely—they'd reach a point where they'd face a great filter, impossible for any lifeforms to pass. And that filter would wipe any civilization, and the evidence of its existence, off the universe, leaving a blank canvas for new beings to thrive.

this paragraph is beautifully written

"An ant gets eaten by a worm. The worm is snatched by a bird. The bird is grilled by a farmer. The farmer pays taxes to a noble. The noble advises a king. The king invades a country. Many people die. The future remembers his story. That's how everyone leaves a mark. We are all born with marks on our lives, and when we die, we too shall leave a mark. A baton of life, strong, robust, and never swaying. Even if humanity dies—our legacy never will." The man went on his knees, causing everyone to be shocked. "Levi, Ananta, Meiwan, Soilin, Wasandra, Anette, Gil, Barbatos, Ashura, Vil'ette, Emanuel, Vivian, Phoenix, Matheus, La'million, the Dark One, Xteletph, Ali, and of course, Athena. For their deaths, I too feel angry." He slammed his head on the ground. His eyes were sharp as if staring at prey. "For their deaths, I too feel angry."
