In the construction of a Sith lightsaber, individuals partook in a process known as bleeding. By ways of the Force, they would pour negative emotions such as rage, hate, fear and pain into kyber crystals. The process would result in the crystals gaining a distinctive crimson or red hue.

"I wouldn't think about backing out on a deal with me Watto, I'll tell you what though, even if you do lose I will throw in 2 B1 droids, just so you have help in the shop" I gave him a small smile while he looked terrified. I only did this to prevent him from trying to back out and going to the hutts when he loses, I wasn't sure how well the would take my forced deal.

I sat silent for the rest of the conversation, letting everything run as per the cannon. Shmi prepared rooms for each of us but I refused, I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in a place like this, beside I knew the Qui-gon would want to talk with me.
