Polkageist: I have to be honest author, I really don't like this chapter. I almost hate how this chapter turned out, but let me explain why, instead of just hating on the chapter.

You see, I usually don't like romance in novels, because 9/10 times, I feel like the authors don't develop the romantic feelings or relationships in good ways. And sadly, I don't think you developed Gaara's feelings for Yui well in this instance either.

I saw your comment about love at first sight, and let me tell you, you don't just suddenly fall in love with someone at first sight. Sure, LUST or ATTRACTION at first sight are totally real and tangible things, but they're not love, and it seems a lot of people confuse these different emotions. It takes longer to develop any kind of meaningful romantic feelings for someone else, not just a few days. I don't think there's any real basis for Gaara to be this deeply hurt in this situation.

Sure, he could be upset at the development, and regret killing Yui, but there's no way he would be this devastated. There has simply not been enough time to develop these kinds of feelings you give Gaara.

To me it feels like you did this to twist Gaara in some way. Maybe he'll keep this in mind and cooperate with the Land of Snow/Spring due to a guilty conscience. Maybe this will motivate him to train even harder, so he can protect everyone he loves in the future. Whatever your reasons are, I still don't like this chapter, and this forced development. It just seems so forced and cheap to me. You're better than some cheap forced relationship for plot twists.

In any case, I'll still read your story. I won't lie and say I'm not disappointed in this chapter, but I still like your story too much for me to just drop it. And you still have my support with your story, despite my negative review.

I just hope we won't see something like this again. Almost everyone hates this kind of plot development, so I don't see any reason to use it.

I'd like to hear your opinion on my points, and maybe an explanation or reason for your decisions in this chapter, if it won't spoil future chapters.

Have a nice day author.

Flammenwurfer: Wait a second. This Lost Immortal Sutra seems perfect for Zhou Wen. It automatically circulates itself, and he can just spend his time gaming all day while also reaping the benefits of cultivation!

KONO_DIO_DA: Zhou Wen: Alright time to sleep.

Sleep Paralysis Demon: To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of dispriz'd love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

He's going to a forest, no? He may not have the space to swing a long weapon, but it is certainly a safer choice for a beginner, against beasts that is. View More
