But to understand why he is so angry about not being given a choice in the matter, you need to think about the first 17 or so years of his life when he was brought up not to think for himself. Meeting Rassa opened up that door for him. Rassa was basically the turning point for him in experiencing choice, and yet not only did Rassa abandon him and Eboney, leading to another 2 1/2 or so years where he was given little to no choice, but upon returning just after Aegin had freed himself, Rassa took another choice from him. Sorry, r u asking my preferences or whether or not these things are in the story? Because if you've jumped this far ahead just to ask that, I'm honestly not sure I want to answer and spoil the story. This is a book about an innocent boy who becomes a vampire in a world where vampires don't exist. It's about how he comes to terms with his nature, and how others react to that nature. I will not put myself in a box by saying that my story has or doesn't have certain things because I do not want to limit what could happen in future. Life is unpredictable and full of differing individuals who don't follow the exact same path, my stories aim to mirror that to the best of my ability. Read the reviews if you want to know if this story is worth it to you.
