While I do not believe in any religion myself, I don't believe that anyone is inherently or consciously good and I don't feel the need to be tied down to any of them in order to be labeled good even if it is something secular. People want to be familiar to "likeminded" people and even if they secretly disagree with them they hide it. What I do need to care about in order to believe in it is something experimented upon and adjusted with consistent positive results. I also believe that there is no foreign element in the case of not having colonizers for example and even if there was it'll be partially their fault unless they settled down in large numbers. I only see a dark world where everyone sucks, this would explain why I'm basically chaotic neutral because I don't mind using both good and particularly evil means in certain situations where your hand is forced to demonstrate grievances or cut off personal ties. I also don't like forms of hierarchy that implies long or short chains of governance and convoluted rules. I value two things: macro-level compatibility and personal freedom.... I don't think that my freedom would be greater if I stole it from others because I would technically still depend on them as long the deception works and everything would fall apart quickly once this stops working so it becomes an oxymoron. I cannot make people be convinced of my own view of freedom let alone lesser and more generalized versions of this freedom.
