This is one of my first BL novels on this app so I can't really compare it to any of the other ones. I'll just say my thoughts then. The beginning was fine, but not particularly unique or interesting. It's your typical died-and-became-a-host sort of intro, but since nobody really reads a story for the intro, it's fine. It's the meat of the story that matters. Regarding the plot and the characters, it's also good. Since it's a QT story, of course you're going to be reading a lot of background and such, but it's not too bad. Some arcs seem a bit bland, however, because there's just so much on the establishment of the upcoming plot that it feels a bit boring. It focuses on the characters more there, so it's not completely meh, but I guess it's my own preference or something that makes the second arc somewhat hard to go through. Right. This story touches upon some problematic subjects like pseudo-****** and torture, so if you're sensitive to those subjects, maybe don't read this one lol. There seems to be an overarching plot regarding the MC's gong(s) so there's that to look forward to. Though it's not 100% unique, it's still fairly interesting (and it's pretty hard to come up with anything unique anyway). I do really like the humor in this webnovel though. The relationship between the MC and the system reminds me of another webnovel (Perfect Destiny, anyone?) and I really like the somewhat antagonistic relationship between the two. I also like the diversity of the characters. The MC is funny and scummy, and not your usual shou protagonist (he can be both a gong and a shou, but generally prefers being a shou). He's also horny af, like Chen Liguo from Perfect Destiny. Another point of interest is that because of the QT nature of the story, the MC is dropped into a variety of stories with a variety of settings--he's not always Chinese, which I think is interesting. There's nothing wrong with making your QT protag always Chinese, but after several QT stories, you kind of start looking for something new and interesting. Overall, pretty good read, if you ignore the problematic nature of some relationships (but the MC is into it anyway lmao).
