but it's not the other way around, 12 is when the switch happens not 1. So it's 12am (midnight when it's dark), 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm (midday when it's bright), before it continues in the same cyy

I live in the Midwest US. That makes me have alot of questions, for me to call someone beautiful they'd have to be an 8/10 while having a personality, or 9/10 if they have a trash personality. That's not me saying 7/10 is unattractive, beautiful simply isn't the word I'd use without emotional investment unless I was lying. you don't have oil to fry them that I know of, but you can boil, mash, hash, and bake them now, and if you produce enough milk and can turn it into cheese you can have potato au gratin. plus potato flour and starch, and if you're feeling violent/creative a spud launcher turns potatoes into ammunition. I almost forgot vodka is from potatoes

I would certainly take that in addition to the wheat, especially since I could fill bellies easier with potatoes; they were heavier and easier to work into being a staple compared to wheat and corn, albeit just barely.

They were a good step in the right direction though, as were the potato plants, which weren't ready just yet but were close; the flowers were still budding on the top, but they were a vibrant purple and much larger than I remembered, so perhaps that was some good news as well..?

deciding if you're going to do crop rotation even if mana makes it mostly pointless

Marking out the land for each crop type was something I also needed to start doing, and once I got a good idea on the rough yield per crop and could create an estimate on what I could and couldn't produce, and from there I would also need to figure out what I was doing for storage.

I'd like to point out, and this'll probably be my first time complaining about it, but you had a farming/ranching novel going with Milan. That said it was/is a fanfic and what you can do believably is constrained by the fact that the world isn't your own, and any ideas you probably had for it had to be run through a filter or two. Now, about this novel, I'd say keep it character focused and chill. Character interactions, things that happen on the ranch, maybe she's a different person with a cudgel in hand and she crushes her enemies to paste efficiently taking out the limbs so they can't move or smashing the head immediately. IDK, I'm just saying that this novel can go anyway you like. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't believe it was confirmed in any chapter before this if both of her parents were human, she could be that 1 in 100k where a beastkin got a human pregnant and a human was born. Last thing, are there males in this world, I don't think I've seen one yet but I'm not sure?

As for up close battles, I was going to just go with my other preferred weapon, which I would make for myself when I got to the Ranch, which was a club; simple, easy to use, and another underutilized weapon type.
