Why ask about necessity? He needed test targets for his eldritch spell. They volunteered.

They would be added to the vast expanse of the Shoggoth's stomach, a hellscape where creatures beyond comprehension would play with their minds, restoring and breaking their sanity in a torment that would last eternities unbound by the laws of space and time.

Yes, it very much is Lovecraft.

There is a theme of past sins not defining the present and future. If you murdered someone but later saved a hundreds are your mistakes more important? One cultures sin is another cultures norm. When judged what matter? A mad queen or a just usurper of a restrictive and corrupt society? I see Thud as no less "evil" then the nobles that step on their own.

Not one of the Mad Queen's champions had put their own pain above the mission, sacrificing themselves, again and again, no matter how traumatic their death would be. Thrud considered them as her friends, people who she wanted to share the final victory and its spoils with.

what are morals but contrived rule from those able to enforce them. At any point the illusion can drop or change. Modern humans have lost ourselves.

Solus pondered his words, knowing that Lith was right. That Zoreth and Dolgus were right. The Abomination clone was in the exact same situation she would be if the existence of Menadion's tower was discovered.

pronounced coom my dirty mind friends. an oddly phrase used with degrees "major cum minor". or something like that.

Magical equipment needn't be mentioned—he was a pharmacist-cum-blacksmith. He could just move his hands, and innumerable gold coins would be pouring down from the sky. He could just spend all the money he wanted for any magical equipment; was there still a need for the guild to provide it?

The truth of a long life is plant based.

The Bruce family were fruit bats. Eating fruits was not a problem for them at all. As to why they had to drink blood… It's like how human beings wanted meat when they could live their whole lives as vegetarians.

Did you really just say that European's illegal drug trade into China will get them to fight themselves?...(flipping textbook) that isn't how that ended. Also the British empire literally killed to not go without Tea...

"I do think it's a matter of racial talent." Link ate in a cultured manner, chewing slowly and occasionally holding his hand over his mouth when he ate and spoke. "For example, even if 'the empire on which the sun never sets'[2] has been rich for so many years, they haven't been seen to make their food very tasty."

In moderation. Communism and Capitalism are terrible at their extremes. One will get a dictator the other a dictator under different names. Blended and balanced is the ideal government state where money drive advancement and communities support everyone.

"What infuriates me the most is that the commoners here have no intention at all of resisting. They're only glad that it didn't happen to them, as if resigning themselves to fate." Hawk's square face was filled with resentful disappointment. "This has made me want to carry over the contents of the little red books[1]."

him being good is the give away. it is what made them suspect that he has one.

The coach said somewhat irritatedly, "We're not trying to harm him. We just want to ask if he has an immersive cabin and buy it at a high price from him. He's way too cautious."

Little White's white hairs had already turned gray from dust. Some parts of its hairs were even in knots and filled with mud that were already dry. These were all around its body. It seemed that during the past few days, while Little White was guarding her, it didn't even have time to clean its little white hairs. It should be known that Little White liked being clean and would always clean its little white hairs from time to time. Sometimes even Ling Lan thought it was excessive.
