See, this is what I don't get. Fan-Fiction by it's very nature is AU (Alternant Universe) - AT (timeline) - AR (reality) etc... So it can close to the original or so VERY different. People who complain that it isn't "cannon" can just go read/reread cannon. Anyway you write how you wish. Take it moment by moment and do your best each moment and let the future take care of itself.

If I remember correctly, Hephaestus's eye is more of a curse. In MC that would mean a bucket of milk to remove the status effect and would garner quite the reaction from everyone wouldn't it. lol
