Nixilei left Lily to her thoughts, as she observed all the competitors coming in. Nixilei found herself unsurprised by the competitors that took the read chairs. First in was Ellenell, who arrived a bit before the rest of his team. *He's in a similar position to me. The team healer. The real question will be if there's anything I can use as an edge over him. I would suspect my physique is better, and perhaps my martial training… but how useful those things will be is a bit up in the air.*

Due to the hot conditions of this place, they mostly wore similar clothes to Nepheline. They're tribal in style and are beautifully decorated with different colors, ranging from red, yellow, blue, and green. However, they barely cover their bodies, if not at all. Males were all bare-chested, with only some covering their backs and shoulders with beautiful leather and monster bones. On the other hand, females cover their chests and their nether regions.

"That makes sense," said Kress with a sage nod and a fake moustache he'd pulled from somewhere.

"One final note, is that the course was designed to be just barely impossible for a Rank 0 mortal, and reasonably completable for a skilled Rank 1 individual. Obviously this is a time based challenge, and you're all at least Rank 2, so I expect you to get creative, push your limits and try to make it through as quickly as possible,"

*Kress, your arguments, while compelling, aren't really getting at the heart of the issue. Why do you think it's appropriate to just walk out with the whole damn bowl? Sure nobody else was eating it, but that much candy cannot be good for you. I still remember that time you got into the honey jar and ate the whole thing, only to be throwing it all up not an hour later. Made worse when it started to stick in your throat. Nearly suffocated you idiot.

"Way too late. Don't worry, I will teach you everything I know! Like about magical girls!" Kana smiled brightly. It had been a while since she got her daughters to do cute poses! Just thinking about it made Kana giggle.

*Well this isn't exactly what I thought I'd be doing with my night, but it sure beats wandering around aimlessly pretending I know what I'm doing. Now I can pretend I know how to give people therapy! Yay!* "I mistake is nothing to be ashamed of Asteodia, they happen to everyone, and this one didn't even have any consequences," said Kat.

"Yes!" Dark Mei, whom the gatekeeper normally called Little Mei, shivered in fear. She did have such thoughts since she was not outside the doll house, but seeing Kana's gaze, she quickly scratched that idea. She would just get stronger, then!

Oditr didn't rise to the bait she just looked down her nose at him… well the best she could. She was much shorter than him after all. "Surely that's not the best you can come up with? You've had decades on me… perhaps you're not getting grey hairs because you're brain is taking all the damage!"

Hmm… I could get Timmy to make a fancy bed out of sand perhaps? Put her on that and make her part of the exhibit? A bit mean… but very amusing. Hmm… I'll need to give that idea some serious consideration.*

"Some worlds are while some are not. It depends on where you are. But even my plane is still dominated by the phrase 'Might makes right.' Life will never be easy no matter which world you live on. You can call the fact that rules exist a means of making a civilized world, but rules are always broken by those at the top. People will kill and murder no matter where you go unless all are of a single mind. Only worlds with a hive mentality would be able to be considered a world that is in harmony. But then you lose all individuality that makes you…. You."

Francessca just stared blankly at the spot the monsters were just in. She realized if she had not turned over a new leaf, she might have ended up just like that monster if she had angered Kana too much. No chance of a grave, having your existence completely wiped out as if it was never there in the first place.

"Friends for life!" Adel happily smiled at me. She was nervous at first, but once she started talking, she became like her old self. Talking about this and that and complaining about all the things she could not complain about. Seeing her so lively and comparing to the state I left her in before. I was doing my best to hold back my tears. Only when she fell asleep did I leave. I, of course, left her a small note and put it in her hand. This time I will be sure Adel is never lonely. I want her to grow up happily, and when the time comes when we are old enough, I will confess to her this time.

I had said my goodbyes to Sally, who I would see the next day, and headed back to my room. With everything settled, and after almost two hours of lost sleep, I finally got to go back to sleep. Although this time, I had two people sleeping on each side of me.

What I find funny is that King Gravos offered to come once he heard that I was going on a date. It seems he might not have given up on me marrying into his family just yet. I hate to disappoint him, but that will probably never happen in his lifetime or mine. But he is a good deterrent when it comes to dealing with sly cats. It is making for a good show, that is for sure.

Thyme twisted the bar and a hail of small arrows that were basically just arrow-tips shot from the front of the glider, flying off the side of the platform and continuing into nothing. "But, that's not all… if you really, REALLY need something dead, you find these buttons on the side," Thyme showed off the cherry red buttons on the outside of the gliders hold. "It's not cheap on the mana, and I can't demonstrate it here… but the glider will summon a large explosive projectile guaranteed to take out whatever you're pointing at…
