LazySwordMaster: 399 chapter, next is 400!
Glory to translators :)

Lvl1Bard: Omg I almost forgot about this point! So this world seems to be really young! I think this might turn into some major reveal later on and everyone will go: "omg! Cuttlefish is so brilliant! This was mentioned in the first couple of chapters, right? Everything fits together, omg!"

On the other hand: I feel like time travel shouldn't be impossible: The time aspect of the marauder path with the traveling/space aspect of apprentice combined (and perhaps with a bit of fool/scholar of yore mixed in) should make time travel an actual thing. Who knows... Perhaps Klein is going to kill Amon/Pallez/Mr. Door and become God of all three pathways and then travel back in time to find out what actually happened...

fat_mermaid: Dear, I cannot say that it is completely resolved, but there is already a general understanding of most and this information is not concentrated in one chapter, but scattered in several, be patient, the translation here is better.

Lvl1Bard: Actually this was all infered by what was already stated so far in the translation. The maggot door has obvious traits of all three interchangable pathways (fool/apprentice/maurauder) : the door is symbol of the traveler, and both antigonus and amon/pallez were proven to have maggots as mythical creature bodies (although the paths differ in transparency /translucency of the worms). Therefore it stands to reason that the original owner of the grey fog should have authority in all three pathways. Everything else was inference and some guessing.

Was this the part that I got correctly? Or some other? Is the mystery of Klein's transmigration solved already in the Chinese version? If yes, could you perhaps give me volume and chapter so I can head over to MTL and check? I don't mind spoilers, but please don't write them in the comments. Just chapter number will do. Thanks!

fat_mermaid: It probably helps to choose the educated, while illiterates are excluded, after all it is a lot of work to teach children the basics, even though they may have incredible talents, but who cares isn't that? We have thousands of generations to test, what are a handful of grains in the middle of the desert?

Lvl1Bard: Theory:

The original owner of the grey fog was an ancient God before there were sequence pathways... He combined Fool+Apprentice+Marauder Godhood (or perhaps he was the Original Creator himself) . At some point he prepared a method for revival (that maggot door with the cocoons): All those "transmigrators" are actually part of his mythical creature form and are just dreaming Earth's existence. The door releases one of them into the real world with the aim to let them aquire Godhood in the fool/apprentice/maurauder domain. Klein's two predecessors failed this part because they chose the wrong sequence and cannot return to the main body above the grey fog.

So back when Klein made everyone believe that the Fool was an ancient God who is trying to reawaken, he actually hit the mark 100%.

fat_mermaid: Only I identified an inconsistency? I don't know if it was the author's mistake or the translation, but in previous chapters it was said that the control was 100 meters in its sequence 5 (when he had 1 puppet and the more the potion was digested and and he advanced the greater the range, 200 meters with 2 puppets and at the end when he had fully digested he assumed it would be 300 meters or something, how could the puppet's range have dropped from 200 meters when he controlled 2 puppets to 150 meters when he advanced to sequence 4?)
Does not make sense! Dear translator please review this, I think there is an error here.

Randompasserby: Read this chapter again while listening to Shostakovich's Second Waltz.

Then picture Klein performing as "Dunn Smith" and "Daly Simone" dancing their ill-fated dance as a final tribute while Leonard watches.

The regret, longing and tragic fulfilment of the two lovers and the ones left behind, even after a successful vengeance.

....now excuse me while I go back snivelling in the corner again with a box of tissues. Care to join? 😭😭😭😭😭

Chaoticmike: Actually in terms of mages he’s considered a master but in terms of sword fighting I think he’s considered a low rank knight. But I do agree with the stronger and stronger enemies But can’t keep up with whatever reason moto which is 100% frustrating. But I would considered this a slow burn novel when it comes to progression in the martial arts and mage arts. He’s getting better at the forms but now we found out that there is something higher then the forms which is very frustrating. But I’ve been saying this before, if I remember correctly he’s currently heading west. So the more west he gets the more powerful his enemies become and if he backtracks which he will do at some point in time there would be strong enemies back there too. But more on the normal side then towards the west if that’s the direction he currently going. But I been reading this since the double digits and it’s very enjoyable yet frustrating at times. so I really do see where you are coming from and agree with some of the things you pointed out.

JPNovelFan: Like Arran, I too am equally frustrated that we are not a single step closer to understanding the Darian’s techniques or bloodlines or whatever the hell it is that allows such a drastic difference in power between regular knights and the top tier imperial knights/Lords. We continue to see excuses in Arran’s personal abilities as not having trained enough but clearly he needs some sort of method or training technique that will actually let him advance. We, as readers, are just as in the dark as the MC and there has been zero exposition on explaining things to the audience for our own benefit; much less Arran’s. He’s now several centuries old (looks 30ish) and he is repeatedly shown that he is inferior. I’m fine with a weak Mc that needs training, but when will you allow that training to happen? Now, I accepted that the whole point of this desolate training arc against the blight is for him to get stronger. However, You’ve now kept creating such terrifying enemies that his only option is to practice the sword forms that babies and children in the Imperium learn. STOP CREATING STRONGER AND STRONGER ENEMIES WITHOUT GIVING THE MC A PATH FORWARD PLEASE. It’s annoying as fk dude. Can’t he just go to town and trade some of those medals he’s already captured and trade them for either blood or a technique or two at knights watch? I mean how many hundreds of medals in addition to the silver medal from the reaver did he obtain: that’s gotta be worth something? How is the sword forms, something babies learn in the Imperium, going to drastically improve his situation that the previous several months of instruction from the previous knight hasn’t already accomplished? For the sake of the audience/readers, I truly hope some sort of epiphany takes place during these two months for Arran that allows some sort of exposition for the audience to allow Arran’s power to begin to soar.

And I already know y’all are going to reply to this and sh!t talk me for having an opinion that voices a frustration of mine. Literally don’t care what y’all say. I get it every time I comment something anyways. Y’all think I hate this story or something but honestly I really enjoy it. I just get so frustrated with certain story telling styles that leave the audience in such a frustrating position. I don’t want everything freaking handed to the MC. I just want it to be more hopeful and fulfilling for the Mc to have a path forward. Currently we’ve spent hundreds of chapters trying to aimlessly pursue a path forward but it has been all for naught as we keep encountering such terrifying enemies without giving the MC anything in return. The last true benefit he received was when the blood magic and the dragon’s ruin merged several hundred chapters ago. Several. Hundred. Chapters. Ago. Food for thought. Like I said, bash me all y’all want. I just want something thar gives me, as a reader, hope for the Mc to have found a real solid direction. I thought the desolate was that but the enemies just keep getting greater and it seems impossible.

TomoyaNagase: This chapter hit me right in the feels with Daly and Dunn. Same with Leonard thinking back. It pains me to remember those scenes.. The friends lost. The author is a true master to make me still feel this hurt after such a long time.

Aby55: Wow what a chapter. They were both desperate as ****. Daly even signed an unknown contract with an unknown entity...and Leonard prayed to an unknown entity...shiet. I think Ince barely survives the headshot and then we see our boy Klein show up

Alessan: This chapter hurt. Hopefully this is enough to kill him.

Leonard has formed a connection with The Fool. Sadly he can’t join the Tarot Club as Pallez Zoroast is still healing but maybe he will leave soon? It has been awhile. Still perhaps he can be considered a believer now? That should still be quite useful as long as he accepts it. The Fool and The Goddess have a decent relationship too which could help convince him. It’s been 400 or so chapters since we’ve had a new Tarot Member too :(

Can you guys imagine the glorious future if Klein manages to obtain 0-08?

Randompasserby: Wtf did I miss a few chapters?!

Leonard has a transparent glove he used for teleporting with Daly, when did that happen? Klein lent Creeping Hunger to him? That Fate Siphon charm too.

Klein noticing the genial priest as Adam from Danitz' previous prayers? Again when the eff ??? You can't just drop that info in 2 lines between Angel level showdown come on... I missed Klein prep time chapters 😭

I get the fact that this is sorta the endgame for the Tingen Avengers but author bro...slow down and let us digest a bit pls. We're on the verge of losing control here 😅

TomoyaNagase: Actually he might have already got everything. This acting as a puppet himself while directing so many people like puppets at once and controlling his two puppets could have been enouth to digest the rest of the potion. Also we don't exactly know how much time passed since the blood was optained with the way we even skipped Tarrot gathering he might have finished killing the shape-shifter already. I just can't see Klein not using this chance to enact revenge and advance to demigod. I belive in you Klein!
