Just then, he heard a pained cry and realized the saber toss wasn't a distraction. He turned to see Bill impaled by the saber. It had gone right through his chest with the sharp point sticking out of his back. Bill's eyes slowly lost color and he fell limply to the ground.

Now that he had stopped running around, he could think about the events of the day. It was unbelievable how everything had changed so fast. Today he was expecting to enjoy a new game that had been hyped by every part of the gaming industry. Well, in a way, he was indeed playing it now, but he wouldn't say that he was enjoying it. Not with the fear of death hanging over him. Will dying in this world be real death? Temporary? Or maybe it was even the ticket back to the real world? There was no sure way to find out other than dying, but he was not brave enough to use that method.

He then allocated his free attribute points: one to strength and one to dexterity. He has tries to add the points to Luck, since it was so low, but the system wouldn't allow it. He thought he remembered the Beta Test guide saying that Luck was a stat outside the leveling process that could only be improved through better equipment, items, or quests. In other words, Luck could only be obtained under fortunate encounters. It was funny: you needed luck in order to get Luck.

He felt relieved, that making soul armament was enough to grind this skill. The problem with his class skills was, that they did not show a proficiency bar like the other skills did. Level 2 had no perks, but it became easier to define details and the performance got a tiny bonus.

Evee was lucky that at least none among their oppressors had a special kind of thing for the undead. For some time, she felt like a true undead. There was no hope and she mindlessly followed the orders of her captors. Once again, she had lost many people she held dear. However, this time she had to get a grip on herself.

Mark nodded and left. Seth sighed after he closed the door. This could have ended worse. Seth had no intention to go against the government or something, simply because he had no idea about the power levels in Urth.

Seth was looking forward to the future. Hopefully, those people could bring back the era of gaming. Maybe he could relocate Fin, Mina, and the party to Urth once he secured his footing here. He had often thought of introducing the fairy to the world of gaming... he should have enough money to shoulder the destroyed screen and controllers if the fairy lost.

Seth inspected the priest girl. She had a good figure and a passable face. She might have the potential to be a clerk, so he agreed to let her tag along. With that, he had already staffed his shop, before even finding a location! Something seemed wrong with the order, but who cares? The priest girl's face lit up slightly.

As expected from a person with the alias of Master Chef, his inventory was filled with Cooking stuff. He looked around and didn't find Bill's knife or armor. This meant that not all items and equipment were dropped upon death.
