The story is a good one. Great in all aspects. World-building is careful and elaborate. The characters are three-dimensional, with a delicate balance between suspense and reasoning. You can see that the author knows what he is doing. However, there are two reasons why I cannot give this story five stars. One, is that in the name of being mysterious and unpredictable, the story often ends up in the realm of unrealistic. The author creates fantastic and convoluted plots that are so complex and so difficult that only plot armor ends up seeing the protagonist through. The second issue is tied to the first. The power gap between the protagonist and the main antagonists in the story is so vast that it is untenable to think of a scenario where the protagonist wins. This is interesting because most times, with game transmigration stories, it is the opposite. Here, it would do a lot of good if the protagonist had or will gain more power as the story progresses, not even in allies or resources, tools or weapons, but in their personal ability itself. This is due to the nature of the antagonists. They seem infallible and impossible to beat, and without corresponding power, I’m afraid the story will simply become an exercise in plot armour. Allies can be made to betray and tools are ineffective against them. More than once already, the author has created impossible situations and had to create miracles just to provide a believable resolution. A story cannot continue this way. Not a good story at least. Author, you can do better, so do better.

There’s good, there’s great and there’s HOLY FU*KING SHIT WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFEEEE!!! This novel is the latter in every single way. There is depth, conflict, intrigue and all of these combine to make an insatiable, gripping story. It is novels like this that make me so fucking hopeful for Webnovel to turn things around. I have no complaints, I complain all the time and I have none, not a single one. The world-building is measured and deliberate, and we don’t receive too much or too little. The character interaction is specific and realistic and several characters are flawed and multi-dimensional. The plot is complex but user-friendly, there is so much going on and it is all intertwined but there are different takes on the dilemmas that plague the MC. And the author has managed to make it easy to comprehend and flow with. Speaking of, the MC himself is well-crafted and not too much about him has been given away yet. I genuinely love this work. Author, keep up the good goddamn work.
