I Love the Supernatural and Fantastic. The two things I’d wish for the most in life is to improve the health of my loved ones and to increase my height to 6ft tall, lol.

Well it is a passive, but I see what you mean, Yeah.

It was a surreal scene, with Harvey embedding footmarks on the floor as he ran, Beatrice chasing him from behind as she slightly hovered in the air while running, and with Van blinking from one spot to another as he followed the two.

Dude, what’s the sauce for that gif? That’s actually hilarious!

"You can say this is the real compensation", Sarah slightly chuckled as her golden hair dropped down from her shoulders, "Meet me in the gates after class. Your friends seem to be waiting for you"

Of course the comic relief character is siblings with the antagonist/bully character...smh

"Ah, brother!", noticing who the owner of the voice was, Harvey quickly ran towards Gerald.

Predict that he’ll fake his system as an enhancement type, when it is really a unique system. Considering that the system contains Hermes’ Gift (what I assume is the legacy of a God), it will evolve and gain new powers.

And lastly, were Unique Systems. To put it bluntly, these were the Systems that can't be categorized in any of the 3 systems. They are also the most dangerous ones due to the unpredictability of their skills.

“No memories of any monsters except for his father” ... Damn

Even though Evans' head was still ringing, he still searched his memories. But no matter how much he tried, there were no memories of any monster except for his father.

I must say, for a book that finds its basis in recreating movies from our plane of existence in a magically modified world it does a splendid job of creating memorable characters. Although I wish there was slightly more world building and character development for some of Joshua’s actors and his assistant, Ciri, it’s not to the point of being detrimental to the story. The whole novel is a little slow but it delivers a wholesome and honestly quite invigorating show of the history of the technological entertainment industry (obviously in a relatively brief fashion, as his Chaos Demon lifespan is not very long). As other reviews and comments have put it, “it’s like walking down memory lane,” where each of us, whether we were exposed to the medium or not, can enjoy the highlights of humanity’s film (and eventually gaming) culture. None of the characters presented are annoying, but instead quite lovable with their flawed natures. The particular developments with the Deceiver Pluk, the Elves and the World Trees, and the Inquisition (Which also involves the Demons) are by far the most enjoyable passages I’ve perused in a long time. While not high octane, the action is sufficient to keep the reader engaged and satisfied, not desiring more as they realize that action and violence isn’t the point of this book. In fact, the propagation of movies, games, and the internet has acted as a centripetal force, as well as a useful tool for the human nation Joshua is currently residing in. I wholeheartedly trust that bringing the best parts of humanity’s culture will ultimately unite the opposing sides of the magical world, providing a sense of inclusivity and understanding unmatched by any previous creation. The world, the characters, and the plot amalgamate into an enjoyable, slow-paced read. There is no info-dumping or a high reading level requirement, just a rudimentary knowledge of (primarily) film and (secondarily) gaming history. 5 stars for most categories and a 4-4.5 stars the rest!
