Truly worth the read! Though not my favorite ending the story was an emmersive one and the characters truly came to life in the most heartfelt way.

I believe it's cause Chinese custom typically numbered each sibling eg. first brother, third sister and 'little' was reserved for the last child since they don't plan on another after him he wouldn't need a number.

As the family already had too many little boys to feed, Wang Bo was called Little Shiba, meaning that they were not planning to have another little son.

Heaven doesn't go for the easy path at first so instead of wearing him down with kindness and no challenges, why not just cripple his sect (main sect not the subsidiary) and then simply make all their disciples into outcasts who are hunted. Imagine you join the 2nd strongest sect for a day and then end up causing its destruction lol 😈😈😈

Finally a MC who murders male and female with 'equal' prejudice. Gotta luv equality in Jianghu. Try to kill me and you'll sleep with the fishes, such are the rules of the Mountain and Rivers. Normally hate those MC who spare a woman who is often deadlier than most males they slaughter. 😈

The bandits were, at least, open and honest about their robbery. They probably would've also spared his life if he surrendered his wealth. The more people there were in a town, the more money they could get. Yet, this woman wanted to kill him in cold blood.
