Baldur is a deity of fire and healing via the sun, in addition to being a reincarnated soul making him pretty much the closest thing to a male phoenix force, a symbol of fire and renewal. Mason is just a reincarnator, though admittedly has psionic abilities that attract him to a phoenix force, I can't see it being to anywhere near the same level of interest.

If I had to compare, my telepathy was a few levels above Xavier from X-men: Days of Future past, and telekinesis was at the level of Jean Grey, from The Last Stand. I can't do the Disintegration stuff yet, but I think that's only because I'm not the Phoenix Host.

Pretty consistent with early Dragon Ball honestly, it was pretty absurd.

After that I made Goku use his power pole to extend it till he reached the moon and leave the weird trio there.

I assumed his epiphany was that he didn't need him, due to his reaction speed he can think like a human without need of instincts and still keep up with those who have them.
