Replied to Stylistwordl Here i am more in agreement, i have no idea why he would care for the sect itself, and not just the individual people he cares about.
But, by some ungodly design, if he died, his soul perishing in Hell, he needed someone to take care of those who he cared for. He needed to ensure that the Myriad Monarch Sect would remain standing for a thousand or two thousand years.

Replied to Stylistwordl Well one of his initial reasons for his frenzied cultivation, was because of him being forced out of his home and all his family presumably killed as a child. So i find it quite within his character to be like this, as long as he has (or will have) contingency plans in place.
