She was after all one of the few thousands of people who were actually really good at the ordeal imitations back on earth and she was also surely compensated for her deficiencies in the physical aspect like how tim and the other kids got that luck bloodline and a few years of training in order for them to have a chance in the universe

But how exactly would he hire them? He already has what, was it 200M aether(?) yet its only the 2nd ordeal so for all we know, those 10th ordeal guys dont even see 200M as chump change, they might even use higher forms of currency, why would they waste their time babysitting a weakling that they could just kill with an accidental twitch. The first 4 ordeals are basically tutorials in preparation for the vast universe, theyre basically taught how to survive and how to think to survive so idk why anyone would pay someone much stronger than them with all their money just to buy a second of their time to teach them sooooooo. 🤷‍♂️

This would work in times of peace where our lives arent in any immediate danger, but in a world where everyone is at risk of dying to digestors and killing someone would give you an immediate benefit to your safety/strength theres no room for being a hero and saving random strangers who could easily stab you in the back. In this novel's world, psychopaths would feel right at home. Not sociopaths, psychopaths. Psychopaths were born lacking emotions, sociopaths on the other hand are a result of a bad environment growing up. Of course psychologists nowadays grouped them all together into the Anti Social Personality Disorder(ASPD), just to clarify 😁

If i remember correctly, jake didnt drag her there tho? Wasnt it because of her greed that she wanted to do the quest with him? She basically wanted to leach off of him right? I cried like a baby too when mine broke, whats worse is that i had to wait for 5 days before i could get operated on since i had a cold and i might not be able to breath when i get intubated while im under anesthesia. Pain killers barely helped and couldnt suppress the pain completely so i had to sleep it off yet i always woke up an hour or 2 before the minimum amount of time between pain killers so i had to always spend that time trying to adapt to the gradually increasing pain.... Ugh

Whenever the threat was real, the Oracle System seemed to fail him. The only good news was that he hadn't fractured anything apart from the radius and ulna of his forearm. It was a clean fracture and an average human might have cried like a baby, but after his previous injuries it was nothing.
