This is really good! The amount of significant achievements one can attain in a high-level academic field like superconductors is low- all major discoveries come from group collaborations and there are often lots of politics involved in distribution/attribution of credit and authorship. Adheres to the protag’s fear of losing his work to someone else, v. well done.

It wasn't that he didn't know that technology like chips and semiconductors could slow him down, but he knew that even if he aloneknew the direction, with the help of a small cheat that could only increase his learning ability, he wasn't confident in leveraging the momentum. I know I’m necroposting, but just wanted to chip in. The during 10-12th century China, the “fire lance” was invented, the proto-gun. Basically strapping a disposable gun component to the neck of a spear, used as a shock weapon. The same principle could be applied to gunpowder, glassmaking, winemaking, and other kinds of technology, all could be achieved in the game.

Actually I like the idea of him writing a diary. While he has quick memory, we don’t know exactly how good it is at preserving information chronologically, so a diary serves as a good method of time-keeping. Also it can help him vent, since being a transmigrator creates a layer of separation between him and natives. This is further increased with his unlimited lifespan, so it can probably be considered some form of therapy.

You can. Between Chinese and English, if a name doesn’t have a direct translation, you can translate phonetically instead. For example, Roland in Chinese is Luo Lan. Usually translators will prefer to translate a Chinese name like Luo Lan into its phonetic equivalent rather than its direct meaning for ease of understanding. They did not translate the street names, which is IMO a mistake, since it’s not outlandish to have a street called “Red Flower road” as opposed to leaving it as “Honghualu” or something.

It’s eluding to the level of society of this medieval world. The stuff above is describing how poor people are in genera and the level of separation between classes and hunting at how Eli wants to eventually be able to change that, hence the “don’t be reckless”. Though to have this motivation from merely seeing poor people as opposed to seeing nobles abusing their powers in broad daylight is a bit of a weak motivation, but people are different in the regard.

Looks promising! I don’t believe I’ve seen this particular premise done before and the synopsis looks pretty coherent. I have expectations for this translator. Must admit, cultivation video games have revived my interest in this genre, everything has come full circle.
