Replied to SCDS Indeed. I would rather see humans go extinct then turn into what they've become in this book. Total genocide is bad enough, but completely destroying alien artefacts and wiping out their historical monuments and culture?
It sickens me. ISIS in space. I would sooner kill a member of the Big Two than look at them. Those fucking animals. At least the 5SC can appreciate culture!
They were not completely similar to humans, though. Apparently, puelmers lacked several distinctly human traits such as empathy, an ability to have fun and an appreciation of culture.

Ves is... desperate, actually. His clan needs him to be a qualified Senior Mech Designer with 60+ years of design experience and craftsmanship, but he's just an unusually strong mid 30s Journeyman completely out of his depth... yet again. Getting these final two mechs to be masterworks may well decide whether the clan lives or dies.
Just some random Dwarves nearly ended the clan. Ves knows he's going up against super rich Galactic heartland state colonists, hand-picked Rubarthan and Terran puppets, and exiled alien empires that don't subscribe to Big Two combat vessel and superweapons bans, and who probably have cultivators stronger than even him and Ketis.
If he doesn't dare to risk it all, he's doomed.

She was the only non-combatant in the team. Since they were about to explore a pinnacle lab, how could they not bring a biotech expert along?
