EnchantedWorms - Profile

This novel is basically like “Gourmet of Another World” and “Black Tech Internet Cafe System” with horror elements thrown in. Instead of a restaurant/cafe you have a huanted house, instead of cooking/gaming you have scaring customers, and instead of looking for new ingredients/games you are looking for new ghosts to add to the haunted house. As of right now I have read up to at least 500 chapters. The horror element is actually pretty good and at the very least will give you goosebumps. In terms of fighting against the supernatural, you might want to lower your expectations. The mc is not gonna be like Alexander Anderson from Hellsing, shoving bibles up ghost butts. Nor is he gonna like Danny Fenton from Danny Phantom, blasting ghost rays. At the very best the mc is like season 1 episode 1, Dean and Sam, from the show “Supernatural” in terms of physical and combat prowess but without all the cool weaponry. But he does have a good trump card up his sleeves which is his pokemons, which I think is kind of lame. That’s right, he sends his pokemons/ghosts he collected to fight other pokemon/ghosts in the wild or other pokemon trainers. Which is not bad per say but more of a personal perference. There is also the fact the mc does not prepare enough when going ghost hunting. If you know ghosts are real and you go ghost hunting, I expect you to be armed to the teeth with supernatural knowledge and weaponry and be wearing you ghost repellent undergarments. But this dude goes in with a hammer and his pokemons. Do I even have to say how boned a Pokemon trainer without any Pokemons is, in a Pokemon world? But besides that, this is a pretty great novel, definitely recommend a read.

The story might get better over chapter 30 but I couldn’t do it. If you are expecting a dude (which is Acnologia who took over Tang Wulin’s body) coming in, kicking butts and taking names with the power of Acnologia than you would probably be disappointed. In terms of the powerlevel of the mc, it’s basically just Tang Wulin but stronger and still gets his butt whooped, now and then. The grammar is at that level where it won’t make the story unreadable but it will most likely tick you off a bit. Also if you somehow developed bad memories from Fairytail about the powers of deus ex machina friendship, reading about Acnologia discovering the powers/values of friendship in this fanfic will definitely trigger bad flashbacks or maybe just outright kill your desire to read any further. So in conclusion, this is a weak to strong fanfic so far as of chapter 30. It might get better or it might not. But as the same of many cartoon/anime villians before me, the powers of friendship has banished me back into the shadow realm.

This is a pretty decent story. But just so that we are on the same page, this is about a guy with a system which he uses to copy abIlities and raise stats. The world is a mashup of different other fictional worlds like Marvel, DC, Scream, Kick@ss, Nightmare on Elmstreet, and more that I cant recognize. This story follows him, a detective, and hIs partner, also a fellow detective, solving the mysteries in the mashup world. It starts in 2005, if i remember correctly, and not even a year has pass from chapter 1 to chapter 500, so probably do not expect any Marvel stuff for a long time, except some cameos here and there. The mc is a mass killing machine, op but only on the lowest power tier of the marvel universe. The partner is a normal but strong human, which might jump to the mc level of power due to recent, just at the latest chapter release, random symbiote encounter. The big problem with the novel is that at least 400 chapters feels like filler episodes. Does the mc get stronger? Yes. Does it feel like the story is moving forward? Not really, they are just taking cases after cases, sometimes solo or duo. No clear big picture, just getting stronger I guess and catching bad guys. Also there is no harem per say but more of one night stands.
