Lol stockholm syndrome

Andrew Stockholm had his hands shoved deep in his slacks pockets and a boyish crooked grin on his face. The freckles on his nose and cheeks had only intensified over the years, adding definition to his honey brown hair. He looked so different yet so identical to who he was eight years ago. His smile brought back haunting memories.

Actually, Elena said "I can't share my boy with other females". I'd take that as her saying she'd rather not be apart of a harem. I guess like you said, she gave in, and accepted her fate. Jake really be corrupting the MC's mind with the harem fantasy. When the MC recounted the scenario to Jake [about why Elena said she only wanted to be friends], he did leave out the fact that she "can't share my boy with other females" [I re-read chapter 102]. There's nothing wrong with the MC being OP. I just hope he'd be less female-crazed and more cultivation focused to really live up to the responsibility he's meant to fulfil. Webnovel really be lying about harem being popular. As I said before, just looking at trial reads and even originals being made about contemporary romance with female leads, monogamy, loyalty and fluff are #1. Cultivation has always been a popular genre. I'm just warning you to develop your harem well since you're making one. Harem novels tend to get sh*t ratings on novelupdates (you can check) and don't do that well in the current social climate. For original novels, people tend to prioritise grammar, and ofc, an interesting story. Luck is also a key factor in getting your novel out there. Since you suggested to keep reading to see the MC's development, I'll continue until I get sick of the harem. Keep fighting! For your first work, this novel is very well thought out.

Ok, so it is a harem novel, thank you for clarifying. I still stick to what I said in my review, but I am happy that you did reply. What I said about devaluing women is just about the whole premise of harems in the first place. A woman cannot have more than one partner, but a man can. Where's the equality in that. The MC shares the same sentiments, as seen with Olivia, when someone asked if he would be angry if someone took her away, and he said he would be. Your MC's views on relationships in general is just too shallow, and end up making him seem like a hypocrite. He told Elena he would not make her sad, and that he didn't purposefully try to attract Karen, and yet, he tries to kiss her. Elena knows that he will probably have a harem, and doesn't want to be apart of that, which is why she tries to distance herself away from him. The MC disregards this fact when recounting this to his friend Jack because he deems it below his concern. How is that respecting her wishes? He flippantly shows his "liking" and "favour" to any beautiful woman. What kind of shallow emotion is that. What I said about the female characters being shallow is that besides their beauty, what makes them different from all the other women? I think they all want power btw, since this is a cultivation novel setting. But surely, with a harem, you can't possibly develop every single female character appropriately and give them context and depth to them. You literally reduce them to different types of beauty - their character is their appearance lol. And what I mean by this novel doesn't cater to different genders is that typically, women don't want to share their man with anyone else. Sure, this is a novel, but honestly, seeing all of these women fall at the MC's feet is kind of demoralising. Maybe these women don't pursue love, and merely power, and that's fine. I just find the use of "love" so offputting. Like seriously...the MC "loves" Elena; but what about her does he love? A single relationship itself is hardwork, having numerous and calling all of them love is preposterous. The MC uses the word "like" so flippantly. What about them does he like, exactly? Michelle made him have an erection as soon as he saw her, and then she just left like that: what kind of actual feelings can he develop for her in that short period of time apart from lust and a favourable impression due to her beauty? Jennifer is an annoying old hag who demands respect without trying to earn it first, and had tried to kill the MC. MC, being the mega simp he is, ofc forgives her. Under the umbrella of her "protection" that has done him far more bad than good - inviting so much trouble in the process. His reason for liking Jennifer is what? That she protects him [even though she has invited more trouble and put him in these situations without him wanting it in the first place] and that she's beautiful? What about Olivia....uhhh just that she's beautiful lol. Kate....uhh he has known her for a while, perhaps & she's beautiful. Deborah....uhhh he has known her since young, she's provocative and she's beautiful. The MC has such less time on his hands and yet here he is beginning to let himself indulge in carnal desire. The fate of his brethren, and the lives of many are at stake and here he is chasing p*ssy. He's a big hypocrite, and it makes his character distasteful. He's talented and handsome...and even with a tragic backstory he doesn't seem that loveable. He's born with the universes golden spoon and has everything delivered to him on a silver platter; he doesn't have to work that hard to be greater than everyone else. How can he truly be a deep character without experiencing any hardship. Compared to the ruthless MCs who have crawled from the bottom up, he really doesn't deserve all of the power given to him.

why is he showing her his physiques..........

She then believed she had discovered the reason why her master, Lord Shadowslayer sent her to get to Alex. It was because of these physiques he was manifesting. She had never seen or heard anyone with the ability to produce three physiques which emitted pulses of power that would match that of a cultivator in the saint stage while at the condensation stage.
