BattleLord: Let's consider this story arc from the perspective of a true transhuman, which the author is poorly portraying Ves as.
While Senator Tovar might support Ves, what are Ramzi and the other families doing with their influence. Would they sacrifice two Journeyman Mech Designers, one of which has ties to a bank or would a suspiciously decorated war hero with a backwater Mech company be more appetizing.
Facts to consider:
The Larkenson Family; Old bloodlines create old enemies. Enviously renowned for producing Mech Pilots and Expert Pilots above statistical norms. Hold key military and civilian positions, including the head of the family Benjamin Larkenson on the Defence Board. Raella is a Blood Champion of the Blood Claws. Ves is a rising Mech Designer with ties to an out of state Senior Mech Designer.
Vesian's attacked Cloudy Curtain, though a strong civil defence was displayed, the Vesian's stopped at the LMC gates and then retreated with the facility production capacity untouched.
While galactic net displayed plenty of footage of the Flagrant Vandal assault on Detemen IV, military records will show Ves was out of contact for several days on in the heart of the Vesian Kingdom. Following which he became Head Mech Designer of a covert mission at which point all records were sealed.
Ves becomes a Military Liaison for Mech Corps assigned to KNG. Within days, LMC gifts three top model Mechs to the Blood Claws Gang, through a well known Larkenson pit fighter.
Ves, with his advanced cognitive abilities should have at least verified the Blood Claws are not in bed with the BLM before transferring them Mechs. This seriously tips the scales of Bright Republic justice to come down hard on Ves, the LMC and the Larkenson Family.
Exlor, please write a smarter Main Character. Ves should realize, if his report doesn't have conclusive proof with confessions, he could easily be accused of the same crimes. 1 star for Ves still not demonstrating his abilities to out think normals. Though I suspect Senator Tovar can hardly be considered normal, and his scheming demonstrates what an altered human is capable of, let alone a transhuman.

Neeran sarcasm rose to a new level, "Included in her medical file was a copy of her entrance interview with Virtual Lieutenant Baskanson. He notes she possesses a broad vocabulary of vernaculars and derogatory language pertaining to AI's! Are you certain you want this 'genetic cesspool' for a CFA assistant on the Starlight Megalodon!?"
Ves said, "Maybe... She is free spirited, and attractive in a primal way."
Neeran added, "The good news... We can reduce the flaws and improve the good points of what human DNA she has left. For instance, her Bandersnatch will no longer cause her to go into heat. The Ooglebeast breasts will reduce to sub normal. The Hellionhorns will reduce from handholds to nubs. She will have a manly physique and strength however body hair and odour will replace her mating musk scents. I understand it could arouse even a emotionally challenged nerds."
Ves was shocked, "I thought you said this was good news!"
Neeran said, "It is good news... consensus was to mute her, but I talked my colleagues out of that option."
Ves sadly replied, "I kind of was dreaming that someday I would take her by the horns and truly Master her. Now she will look more like my over talkative bodyguard than my Apprentice. Is that mute option still possible if I double the merits."
Neeran smiled, "Let's talk..."
I'm not certain Ves has only altruism in mind repairing Ketis's genetic scars. Something tells me woman are rarely happy when men make choices for them without their consultation. I hope you have 3 seconds to use your life saving device. 5 stars as I am excited to read how butch Ketis will look after the treatment.

Ves gulped and asked, "Anyone ever mention malpractice?"
The Doctor smiled, "There's always a first, picking up a very wide and thick phalanx shaped instrument and began greasy it."
"Oh SHIT!", cried Ves
"Ta Da!" Doctor showed his empty hands after preforming the disappearing trick. "Don't worry it will show up again in a day or two at the most. I have been waiting ERROR years to perform that joke from chapter 7, 'Doctor Jokes', from Mr Francis Classic Spaceborn Jokes For True Spaceborn Spacers."
Dr. Stanley pinched his cheeks added, "I can tell by the look on your face that you share my regret that in ERROR years, I could not make a miniaturized oral version of the deep probe. The longer it's in, the better the readings. I advise clenching and no heavy lifting. I would consider it a favour if you cleaned it before returning it."
Anyone else suspicious that KC-3333 and M-21 gene primers both have serial number identification as well as M follows K could possibly indicate Master Olsen has access to 300 years of CTA developing Tech? While the Doctor did indicate not much should change in 300 years, it might be a clue to Master Olsen's allegiance. Perhaps future Ves might be able to benefit from the CTA rewards he earns here.
