This is true. He didn't really cheat on her, he just choose to leave her for the sister. He also was pretty decent in their confrontations. I don't recall him getting rough with her just to defend the sister. In most stories the betrayal lies in the boyfriend or husband sleeping with the sister or best friend and then later he would help his new lover in harassing and torturing the FL until she have a mental breakdown or they finally kill her. He's just a poor judge of character and choose a cup of bubble tea over cold ice tea. He focus on their personality instead of their heart. He fall for the sister because she was so bubbly, loving and everyone adore her. Yet even though the FL did everything she could to please him, he just could not accept her cold attitude. If he just had accepted her he would of realize that just because she's cold on the otherside did not mean she wasn't sweet on the inside. Like they said many times in the book, once you really got to know her she was actually a very sweet and caring person.

Sometimes I cringe everytime I see the sister's name because it's the name of another FL in a different novel I'm really, so I read her name as just Xin. I love the author's work but I can't even with how bubbly that man stealer is. Pure disgust. 😒😤
