xWinter: Did you realize what just happened here? You said that too much description would kill the hype and readers wouldn't need it but in the same review, you are confused about the implementation of channels meaning that you would like to have a more detailed description of the said mechanic. You cannot have it both ways. Should I have more detailed descriptions or less? This is the problem that I also face when writing the novel, but I would rather have detailed descriptions of mechanics in the beginning, and we can focus on character development and action scenes more prominently later on.

To answer your question regardless, absolutely not. You cannot re-do quests that you have already done on different channels, that would be unbalanced. Also, the implementation of hidden quests are also iffy and something I would not consider doing unless under rare circumstances.

I understand that people want a story to be action packed and fast paced, and I completely understand that, but there are several other MMO web novels that accomplish the same thing with an 'OP MC' and you can find your enjoyment there. I like to create a more mechanic based and story driven novel, where the Knight doesn't have to be the bona fide 'Hero' per se, but even still, there should still be a lot of character depth to be explored.

Also, the reason why I explain the difference between outfit and gear in detail is that they are separate mechanics that will play a different role in the future. Regardless, I will keep your review in mind, since it is the first on this site and although you don't prefer this novel, I hope you can change your mind in the future. Thanks.

TheRise: Wait, this novel is actually really good.

Even from chapter three, I'm feeling the world and the characters the author wants to create. Writing quality is off the charts, super good. I wish the chapters were longer, but that's really my only complaint. Really excited to see where this goes.

Macdri: The story is winding up to be set in an intricate and unique high fantasy world. The characters so far have been curious and likely set up the story to be quite intriguing. I believe the story will progress and really be a gem. Enjoy the read everyone!

Nikhma: This is certainly a hidden gem kind of web novel.

Although the plot of the story isn't anything new, the novel is quite enjoyable and fun to read. The characters aren't your boring 'OP MC' where he just goes everywhere and impresses everyone. Everyone feels not copy and paste, each of them has a distinct personality.

The worldbuilding and pacing is interesting as well, and the game mechanics have a feeling of fairness to them. No broken classes, no 'hidden quests' that skyrocket your level, no broken items that are just far better than everyone else. I don't know if the author is going to keep it this way, but I like it.

Also, don't be fooled by the chapter releases. His chapters are like fucking long as hell. My only complaint is that the story is a bit slow right now and the chapter releases are spaced far apart. I guess that's fine because they're so long, but maybe shorter chapters would be better.
I'm looking forward to where things go from here.

xWinter: Obligatory 5-star rating, because I think you guys will enjoy the novel. This story draws mainly on western influences, but you damn well know that I'll use my 10 years of weeb culture, all of the R. R.'s, all the Brandon's, and a pinch of Wuxia at my disposal.

Muahahaha!

Sorry, I got carried away. Hope you enjoy.

TheSoundOfSilence: Good story, but can you make a knight to be a hero? Moreover you give too much descriptions, and it kills the hype. Like, when you describe the difference between the outfit and gear: it could be done in one sentence, but you used five to do it. It's annoying. If you like descriptions so much, just go and write an historical drama ! For game type novels, readers don't want too much descriptions of the basic things, they are easy to guess. We just want some action ! Ok, although I'm not gonna read it anymore, I think that it has a good potential. Just a question though : you said there are different channels. Does it mean, if I get a hidden quest with good rewards, I can just go and do it 50 times ?

As a Master's (Top 500) League of Legends player in Season 8, I would think I have an edge over other readers in this certain type of genre, so here are my two cents on the novel.

The novel itself is great, I thoroughly enjoyed each of the chapters. Good writing along with good pacing makes the story an interesting read. It has decent enough characters and game backstory to make it enjoyable.

The story does seem unrealistic to a certain sense. I think a good MOBA story boils down to how much the author itself understands the genre of MOBA's. Although he does explain the basic nitty-gritty of game mechanics, he fails to mention any important or groundbreaking that players with more skill would notice, and that will have an effect on how far the novel can progress linearly.

It's fine since these guys are middle schoolers and are still learning about the game, but if he wants to bring this novel from a lighthearted read to an actual quality MOBA novel, it's going to take a lot of work.

Overall, still a good read. There's no other MOBA novel to compare this to, so I guess it is a staple. There are things that could be improved, but the things the author does writes, he does correctly. View More
