Mytaw: So his title is gun sovereign? It sounds like a edgy teenager made itThe Black Market · C1
BlueWildcat: The bigger naming issued is Col. Sanders. That name just interrupted the story flow as I started thinking of chickenThe Black Market · C1
Broland: You're victim blaming. In no way is what she did someone else's fault. No one could have expected her to be such a horrible person. Do you think they want to be ****ed over?
Saying the brother went overboard is an understatement. Ai Tutu should be the focus of Mo Fan's killing intent, but since the author is an absolute cuck he wants women to be able to get away with everything they do, having a "white knight" defend them against perfectly reasonable anger.Versatile Mage · C541
Broland: LOL. The scolding she needed? Dude, she just tried to ruin four people's futures. So one scolding from one person is enough to compensate for that, huh? Well if that's the case, let me go steal from some millionaires (I'll be sure to let them admonish me afterwards... well, one of them at least.)
Then afterwards I'll humiliate him and give him a few slaps cause no one talks to me like that!Versatile Mage · C540
Broland: That's irrelevant, they've spent years of preparation for this chance to make it big and she squandered it away just so she could "have fun"... Their hopes have been dashed and who's to say they wouldn't have made it anyways? At least they could have been defeated by a team that deserved it, and not their own teammate.Versatile Mage · C540
beankilu: Maybe not, but what she did certainly messed up Gu Jian's. Sure, maybe he wasn't as good a leader as Mo Fan when working with her, but she still wasn't up to par. Yet somehow everything is his fault? And she gets to punish him? That's really unfair of the author.Versatile Mage · C540
Broland: I see. Apparently Zhou Shuming, who was initially playing the devil's advocate for his arrogant friend, had investigated Mo Fan's background to determine why he was a provisional candidate. Zhou Shuming only mentions him helping solve the plague in Hangzhou, and surmises the Enforcement Union returned the favor by recommending him. He didn't mention anything about Mo Fan's background, other than to prove he wasn't given the votes due to him being a "bigshot". If he did investigate further, I bet he'd shut up after learning Mo Fan killed an advanced magician, an advanced drake, and helped kill two other advanced monsters. Chapter 513 btw.
The logic behind them calling Wang Zhong trash despite his contributions to society is because he apparently had trouble beating Dongfang Ming, even though earlier he just had to spam the fourth tier fireball spell, and in Dongfang Ming's words the current fight was even harder than their last. "Back at Hangzhou, he had been destroyed by this guy's fourth-tier Basic Spell. Now that he was being challenged by him in a ranking battle, he felt like the fight was even harder!"
After casting a few lightning strikes and one thunderbolt at Dongfang Ming, and using the fourth tier spell to create a paralyzing force field for Dongfang's summoned pet, Mo Fan won.
So I'd have to say the fight was pretty easy for Mo Fan, and the Zhou Shuming and Dongfang Lie characters are completely irrational to call him trash based on this. I'm guessing they're just there to fill the "arrogant sideshow characters" trope, even if their perceptions are far removed from the reality they've witnessed. I guess characters like this do tend to be intelligent except when it comes to the protagonist, though.Versatile Mage · C514
jacek050595: You got it quite wrong, he didn't picked all four badges not because (expected or not) ammount of arrogancy, but because hiding the fact he has four elements is his top priority (remember what happened just few days after he revealed his third element ... Dongting Lake ... Liu Nian ... blood sarira ... you know what I mean). Picking one was the only safe option ... and he was just lazy.Versatile Mage · C572
Aelryinth: Just because I'm using gambling nomenclature is no reason to get all math terminology on me (sniff)Versatile Mage · C665
Aelryinth: If all five go on one bridge, that's one chance in ten. If five all pick separate bridges, that's 5:10, or 1:2.Versatile Mage · C665

Broland: No. The fire was a 9th rank, dimensional being, and the fate stone also originated from the echelons of some other world, with vastly different laws, and the fate stone ended up in his dimension. Remember how an extremely powerful dimensional beast was trying to pull Wang Zhong into his dimension? That was because it was trying to reclaim the Fate Stone.
On the other hand, Vladimir just froze some water. That's literally it. Even if the laws of their dimension allowed them to, the federation still doesn't have the technology to just conjure life at will, nor to give it "spiritual energy". Ability users just control the elements, and the author never made mention of anything else. Even the extremely powerful summoning masters are relying on other dimensional beasts they're contracted with. And now you're telling me the ice has the capacity to stop him from using dimensional summoning techniques, but it doesn't do anything else on its own. This doesn't make any sense. It's completely irrational. The author keeps contradicting himself, rewriting the lore and the logic of the story, and in general just throwing hodge podge together. Not to mention, 90% of the last 500 chapters have been filler.
I wouldn't complain if this is a story I just started reading, but having the writing quality degrade into a face palming mess after spending $150+ and countless hours reading it is just pathetic, and shows how little respect he has for his customers and his own story.Battle Frenzy · C619

Lazy_Reads: Well to be fair, author already gave fire a consciousness back when WZ was repeatedly incinerating himself for fire resistance. The fire seemed worried about the Phoenix caught in the whirlpool. The author made it as if everything with spiritual energy has some degree of consciousness. WZ even speculated that the fate stone might actually be a higher dimensional being and that he doesn’t actually control it, it’s more like he tethered himself to itBattle Frenzy · C619

Otaku_15: Well that's why said he went too overboard and not just overboard but if you still think that it's an understatement then what word would be fit for it?
I mean I'm not saying that her impersonating mo fan is his or anyone else's fault, cause that's clearly her fault. What I think that mo fan messed up is at asking or consulting with ai tutu when his competition is. He may be busy but asking her won't take that much time.Versatile Mage · C541
spyfoxjm: As a guy, I agree with you.
Though I kind of understand were she's coming from...
It's one thing if a girl says it. She's a girl, so it's not offensive in the same way. (That's not to say it's not offensive. She clearly meant it as a insult.)
But when a guy says it, it comes off as sounding like a sexist pig.
They may have used more or less the same words, but the image changes depending on who it's coming from.
It's like how when a citizen of a country complains that they don't like how something is done. Coming from a citizen, it's nothing more than a complaint. But when a foreigner points out the same thing, it almost sounds like an attack or a criticism towards that country.
Another example might be a pair of siblings. When one sibling does something stupid, and their sibling points it out to them (depending on how they say it) it can come off as sibling rivalry or a pair of siblings looking out for eachother. But then once someone outside of their family points it out, it comes of as a insult or an attack towards the person who did something stupid.
Basically, when someone inside of a specific group says something, the conditions of what is said tend to be taken a bit differently, even when the words might sound a bit insulting. For someone inside of said group, it is ok for them to say it. (And if not ok, it's not as insulting, or not insulting in the same way. Depends on the context.
But when a outsider says the exact same thing, it's almost always going to come off as a direct insult, even if the person who said it didn't intend for it to be that way.
Long story short, it's one thing for a insider to say it, but, when an outsider says it, it will most likely be met with hostility from the insiders.Battle Frenzy · C20
