I love how Dave just has so much trust in himself, even the King can't help but admire it.

GildedGoblin: "The Serpent that Dreams of the End."

Legacy Lore: The Legacy of the original and oldest destroyer God, Mezala. She is a snake of truly unfathomable length, and seems quiet beautiful to the eye. She was responsible for the realms of dreams, peace, stagnation, and, to an extent, the apocalypse. A destiny she is rather displeased with, but cannot fight. As the original apocalypse, she is older than the other gods, but not by too much, in the grand scheme.

Though she slumbers, she is in a state of waking dream. She is vaguely aware of her surroundings, but her prophetic dreamstate makes her very difficult, if a little annoying to speak with. Her long time in this state of perpetual sleep has led to her stockpiling a huge amount of divine energy within herself. It is said that if she were to ever completely wake, the dispelled energy would put the gods and the world into an eternal rest, from which they would never awaken.

She has a complicated relationship with the other gods.

• To Demiurge, she sees him as a relatively childish person, while he sees her as a massive threat, bigger even than the undead or demons.

• With Nick, she likes to calmly listen to his music, as it helps lull her into deeper sleep. Since Nick, in his own way, symbolizes stagnation and similar ideals, she tends to get along with him well enough to make conversation.

• With the other gods, she has a relatively distant relationship, in the most literal sense. They prefer to keep quite a distance, in case her destiny comes to fruition, in a vain hope to avoid it.

• Ramsha is actually a good friend of her's, though neither manage to come visit the other as often as they wish. Ramsha enjoys the rest of such visits, and Mezala enjoys the company.

So Baiko, what do ya think of this Legacy I wrote out for ya?

GildedGoblin: So here's an idea for a new Legacy that could show up. I said I would post something, so here.

"The Serpent that Dreams of the End."

Legacy Rank: SS (Maybe higher if he comes up later?)

Legacy Skills:

[The Mortal Dream]: Activation of this skill causes the following three effects.

• Any active area abilities are immediately and forcefully cancelled. Exceptions: Legacy Skills of equal Rank. [Territory] skill of Raid and World bosses.

• A wide range Debuff, [Waking Dream], is applied to all creatures within 40 meters. Creatures that do not sleep, i.e. Undead, Golems, and/or Automaton, have a 50% chance to resist the Debuff.

• Legacy Holder gains the Buff [The Serpent Dreamer].

[Waking Dream]: A unique Debuff. Victims under this effect find cooldown times doubled, and suffer a 25% Stat reduction. At the same time, any Concentration, Transformation, or Debuff clearing Skills are disabled. Legacy Skills of equal or greater Rank related to Debuff cleaning can remove this.

[The Serpent Dreamer]: A unique Buff. The holder of this Buff has a 5% chance to activate an opponent's Skill as their own during the use of any other Skill. At the same time, the user benefits from a 15% increase in Strength, Intelligence, and Magical Defense, and a 10% reduction in Dexterity. Class Skills are modified. Gains the Skill [Dream of the End].

[Dream of the End]: A massive assault skill, akin to [Final Phantasm]. Skill cost is the starting of all cooldown timers for all other Skills user holds, as well as the end of [The Mortal Dream]. Manifest the True Dream, and force the victim to bear witness. Deals 50% of target Health in True Damage. Cannot be activated above 80% of target's HP, nor below 55%. (Secret Effect: Execution Skill for God-type targets, but can only activate at below 60% of target HP. (<-This can probably be ignored if too much.))

Legacy related Class: Dream Walker (Will detail in a separate post.)

Forgefire: I'm glad he has such good friends to support him! No child should have to go through what he did. Family is supposed to be your refuge, you're safe harbor not a torture cell. Dave has grown and I love how he separates his new siblings from his problems with his dad instead of lumping them together.

GildedGoblin: So, I can't say that I have any experience with dealing with abusive parents, but I can say that I'm proud of how Dave managed to actually handle the situation without escalating it. It shows he's grown beyond the husk of his father's nature. He is his own man, and with his own strength he's carved out his own life.

And even then, he doesn't let his dad get even the slightest of leeway, going so far as to protect the futures of siblings he didn't even know he had. He uses his newfound fortune to secure a good life for them, without needing to relinquish even a fraction of it to his father.

Now, I will say maybe his father has changed. Maybe he really did "tame his inner beast." Maybe he really did look for Dave. But none of that changes what happened. None of it. He never got Dave back in the end. He never apologized for how he was, nor could he. Regardless of who he is now, he was once the scum of the earth. And he has no right to fault Dave for only remembering that.

Anyway, that was a bit long, but I am truly proud of Dave, and happy he got an opportunity to move past that piece of his life.
