Source? Because while such a test is a staple of fanfics, and I haven't read a ton of canon lore outside the main series, I remember no such thing in the original books, nor has such been mentioned in this fanfic (though it is far from impossible that such will be introduced later in the story).Either way, the previous user evidently either lacked the bloodlines he claimed or otherwise provoked the goblins while trying to prove his supposed heritage, and was killed for it. Seems like not following in his footsteps while attempting the quest would be a good idea.

That caused me to come up short. Was... my alternate racist? It didn't seem like it, and there seemed to be some actual legitimate reason that she had been concerned about Japanese gangs. I would have to do a lot more research about Militech, as that seemed to be caught up in that feeling as well. Something in the back of my head told me I definitely shouldn't traipse around the neighbourhood alone wearing any of my Militech-branded swag that filled a lot of these cardboard boxes. Was that it? Did the Japanese gangs dislike the ultra-American corporation? I didn't know.

because they believe that justice means letting the system handle the criminals, so as to not put themselves above the law. DC "heroes" are more obsessed with this personal standard then actually helping or long term protecting people. Nor do they make any real effort to fix the problem.

this one actually would be my first pick. since he doesn't know where he's going, or the situation he'll be in, adaptability is the name of the game. and this will help immensely into fitting into whatever role he needs or wants to.
