Later chapters were a complete mess. Especially with Na Xinyi herself. After over a few dozen chapters of info dumps it was getting real tiring, then the author does like one chapter of character building and redemption for Na Xinyi and calls it done. At that point I only temporarily dropped it hoping he would expand on her character and try to iron out a lot of the negative stuff she has done during the course of the series, but after a few dozen or a hundred chapters and seeing no further expansion I just called it quits. Basically the author applied a bandage to her character and considered it complete. Thinking back now the author might have made some changes as Na Xinyi becoming his wife was the result of some sort of vote a few years ago and not the authors original intent. You know readers and their inability to let a single girl not end up in the MCs harem. He also had a tendency to go on long hiatuses back then creating gaps in the story, not sure if he still does it, but after hiatuses he would forget certain details, causing later chapters to contradict earlier ones. Either way I really couldn't accept Na Xinyi and even with later novels it became one of my peeves that if the author is going to go out of his way to make us dislike a character, they shouldn't attempt to redeem them later.

Either you are mistaken or the author went back and edited that in. At the very least when my comment was made she was undecided. Then again I don't really have any reason to believe you either. Well in the end I dropped this work long ago anyway so I don't really care.

I'll return that question with why not have them? Either way the answer is personal preference.

According to what was previously stated you'd be right, but what if the transformation process took like 5 months. Then it would be reasonable. It may have been covered in a few dozen or hundreds words but the actual process may have taken months.
