Lobo_vento: It would be nice if Ashley got an update on her strength, not just in the power of the rule, but in other respects that are significantly too low compared to other people's beasts. It is time for Ashley to find some miracle fruit, some valuable ore, or something that increases her base power.

Shoto1003: author is about time for Michael to get a girlfriend, several girls have appeared in the story and nothing happens and now in front of Michael has two beautiful twins and he comes with a story of "not having romantic interest". Hahaaaaaa, are you serious?

Adriana_wolf: I wanted Jim and Emma in the harem! they are the ones who had the most contact with Michael in the story, Jim was with him for a long time when he couldn't break the line and Emma appeared twice in the story completely randomly, I believe the author is interested in putting her with the Michael

muta_blold: I agree! It was time for Michael to start having some romantic interest, and these twins would be nice to start with, a harem with a few girls would be nice, and some that have already been featured in the story would participate.

Cole_Honeck: I feel likes Ves needs some self reflection on the actions he's done so far in this arc, and what better self reflection if dear old ghost mom comes to visit him. I think it would awesome see her again and start pushing some of Ves buttons, and help him go back on track on who he once was versus who is now. I think it would help redeem this arc little bit, and it would help Ves learn that he needs learn self control and would encourage more development from him.

Zug: Ves is really true to his character here. I dont think he really cares about the morality of the things he does or the impact it will have long term outside of his own reputation. The reason he cares about reputation is only because it will impact how many mech sales and licensed agreements he can get as apposed to any guilt and or remorse. The whole morality dilemma he was facing relating to the usage of his mechs I felt had the same logic behind it. Ves is a physcopath, hes good at emulating emotions but he doesn't feel them. This would also explain his lack of interest in finding romance, the mastery of mech design and mastery is what drives him.

BattleLord: Netflix has produced and is currently showing the new series "The King's Avatar" based on a popular novel on this website. The novel Versitile Mage has four seasons of animated episodes and that novel is on this website as well. Both have far less filler chapters and more action and character and supporting development. When I read Exlor's true efforts at scifi such as the early story arcs and this short bit starting from the stealth crawlers capture to today's escape... that was great writing. It sucks that the main character is garbage and even if the author states it was an effect of the time distortion I don't by it. Too much technology is involved in assisting the Officers and Medical Experts in identifying clinical issues. Similar to how they detected the breakdown effect. If they identified this condition earlier and tried to mitigate it, I could appreciate the character conflict as they degraded into barbarism. Ves and the rest of the Flagrant Swordmaidens participated in the atrocities and gored themselves in their deprevity. Even if Ves saves all the remaining humanity, it is still a sham. It is how you act when no one but you are witnessing that determines your character and Ves did things in the dark that even the worst villains who purchase his Mechs would consider grossing the line.

Putting a bullet through his brain and passing the System on the Ketis could get this story beck on track.

BattleLord: Thankfully this story arc ends and very spectacularly I might add. I would like to point out some of the highlights and lowlights of this story arc.

I enjoyed the Flagrant Vandal fleet and premises. I feel it adapted well from it's unique Command Structure under Colonel Lowenfield and Major Verle, including its true purpose of Flashlight and Firestarter as the Bright Republics covert branches. Introducing Mech Designer structure within a military organization was well done.

The Vesian/Bright Republic War brought to life from many angles demonstrating the differences between their nations philosophies and the different applications Mech played in the war. Another exceptional bit of story telling.

Introducing other states such as the Rienald Republic, and the Frontier. Demonstrating the underbelly of the galaxy while the earlier story arc dealt with the Komodo Star Sector and places like Leemar and the Clifford Society. Here we met unsavoury Pirates and criminals like the Skull Architect. While this painted an amazing dark dystopian Frontier it failed miserably when it introduced brainwashing Technicians as a viable concept of economic and labor management.

The Church of Haatumak was another failure to sell the concept as to why the Flagrant Swordmaidens made themselves vulnerable to this organization for a voodoo like solution to Sandman protection. I found the concept ludicrous and as poorly written as the stealth shuttle.

While Seven was an amazing described world the descendant of the Flagrant Swordmaidens into barbarism failed to be reasonably. The Officers were inept, Ves was out of control, and their senseless prejudice against the dwarves and the atrocities that were written was poorly orchestrated. Plenty of editing errors, badly researched methods very much marred what had the potential to be another "Avatar Experience". Instead it felt like Pee-wee Hurman's Big Adventure only add child molestation and you summed it up.

Character Development or devolution seems to be what happened throughout this story arc. Even before they reached Seven, Ves was pathetic to identify with. Endless filler chapters that didn't advance the story dragged out the tragedy. I am actually hoping Sigrund tears the SHIT out of this dystopian future because there no redeeming features to it.

The science fiction is good when it appears which appears to be less than ten percent of the time. The Mech Touch description should include the tag "Very Dark" to let readers know what is in store for them. I believe I am giving a potential 5 star novel 1 star for its overall performance this story arc. I didn't rate the previous arc's because they were all 5 stars.

Snapplemonkey: Not necessarily. Allowing the Sandmen to foster this kind of intelligence, could allow negotiations to occur. Sandmen usually exist on a different level of comprehension that doesn't allow for any kind of compromise.

BattleLord: Sigrund strikes me as a realist. He might actually plan to save humanity from the pending invasion of the Immortal Gods. <Wicked Grin> For a price naturally. Sigrund has demonstrated it is sentient enough to bargain for its own benefit.

BattleLord: I absolutely agree, saving Qilanxo might seem to be a sympathetic point for his character development I view it as protecting his time spent developing his Beast-man neural interface. I utterly detest everything I now read that relates to Ves Larkenson. His character is irredeemable, with Calabast gone, I am left with Ketis. <Groan>

BattleLord: As described earlier Sandman are not very creative, logical thinking beings that learn from their mistakes, provided they survive them. Sigrund has the creative ability to plan and put in place a means of escaping its trap that required it to create a plan in a very short time, several millennia into the future and devise a successful plan to overcome insurmountable problems. This entire story arc was proof of that. Sigrund has had three millennia since being trapped to plan out what will occur once it was released. I suspect Sigrund is a capable existence far beyond Sandman abilities.

DarkDaoist: the problem is he is no longer a sandman but can now control retarded sandmen fleets to the level of CFA and at the same time become the AI horror that mankind envisioned it to be, he could bring down economies, hack spaceships. the possibilities are endless with unlimited supply to sandmen core he can keep increasing his processing power and by hacking into humans entanglement he can be on neck to neck latest software technologies with superior hardware.
Nothing is stopping him from creating from more sentient AI's and becoming a hegemony in the local group
