Anyways, just going off this glossary, I think this looks pretty thought out. Lots of races and different mechanics in the world. That's something I didn't really plan out too much in the beginning. The resident mechanic also is very unique. It's definitely gamelike. One thing I immediately wonder is 'Will there ever be any residents who are promoted to warriors and take revenge on the warriors for using them.'

Hello! I saw you on the forums and decided to give your story a look. Given that I've finished a long running fantasy story, I'll do what I can to give advice and stuff, but your story seems much different from mine therefore idk if I can really give much advice here. I do know a lot about character development, so I'll try my best to give you my advice on that. I think that there are always a few stages of a character. Young and naive, dark and grim, and mature. It is only by experiencing hopeless scenarios that we realize that life isn't so easy. At the same time, it is only by recognizing our flaws and trying to deal with these dark scenarios that we grow. Challenges and suffering are how we improve.
