So when he lost ‘Alex’ he became and idiot or a sociopath. Actually it started when he was with the garden guard. I am kinda over him, he has no desire to grow. He is being told a way to get stronger and purposefully ignores it. Except for the one evening he broke down, he is pretty flat as a character.

Yet, Shang didn't even make an attempt at pleasing him.

Overall the book isn’t bad so far. And I may stick with it. Somethings are a little weird, like how out of 34 chapter (that I have read so far) 14 are fight scenes that don’t involve the MC. That makes half the story so far not about the MC. Also I am not so sure about the world building. We know next to nothing about the actual world or who the MC is. I do like how the MC is smart and we don’t have a lot of face slapping or pseudo-harems. I am just confused where this is all going. The fact we have to invest fast passes before really knowing anything about the book, MC, world, title, or plot; makes it a bit frustrating.

I can’t do this. The author keeps repeating himself or stating very obvious things. Only two chapters in and the flow is horrible.

Ultimately, spirit rice was just rice containing spirit Qi. Compared to ordinary rice, it actually shared some similarities.

Starting to think author is padding his word count, with the ‘bamboo mountain immortal pavilion’ lol After the first time you don’t have to keep saying the whole name.
