I mean yes, it is grey-scaled but his intention is good and comes from a place of goodness but he refuses to accept that it is from his heart. And I feel, Severus is not underdeveloped but in development. He has changed a lot. While I understand it might seem like it. Since most of the novel is from his pov, he looks like an observer, and others' development shines. I feel like I have at least presented his inner conflict at the moment. For a long novel, I can't rush his development nor can I just give him his defeat easily. Thanks.
