He threw a full power punch towards Trunks thinking he would dodge and was ready to counter, but to his surprise, Trunks didn't do anything and received his punch. After the punch made contact on trunks face, he didn't even flinch. How would he? Frieza at his maximum power had a power level of 120 million whereas Trunks in his super saiyan state had a power level of 750 million. He was more than 6 times stronger than Frieza. It was a massive power difference. Frieza then kicked Trunks, but the same thing happened. Trunks didn't even shake. He was just floating there with a golden aura covereing him.
