Type something seriously, wonderful synopsis can attract more readers
Avarice: Havent read it (yet), but i was drawn because its similar to "The Martian" but more vivid since it was in a form of literature..............Dead on Mars
LockYourHeartTight: Chrysalis is very good, though I have my fair share of issues with RhinoZ as well. One of my all time favorites is Martial Arts Master. It probably has one of the absolute best romances of all time. Some other novels I recommend that might not be on this website are: Monarch of Evernight, I Shall Seal The Heavens, Throne of Magical Arcana, Book Eating Magician, The Second Coming of Gluttony, Stellar Transformations. If I had to rank them, then Stellar Transformations and I Shall Seal The Heavens were the most entertaining for me to read once I got into them. They're both very large and intimidating though. The Second Coming of Gluttony is fairly new and has been having a lot of licensing issues along with the translator switching groups repeatedly, they're currently in a lull while the license agreement is finalized, it should start up again any day now and until then there are already 160 fully translated chapters uploaded. I'd also recommend Perfect World, it's a novel where the main character starts out as a young child. No isekai, transmigration or old grandpa's in his head. It's a good story but the character itself gets very unlikable after a while. There are a lot of good novels out there, but the ones I've mentioned above do not fall into the realm of science fiction.Dead on Mars
SnoozySloth: This is the worst review that's ever been written for my story, and honestly it's insulting. My novel doesn't have even the slightest relation to the 7 sins beyond a single esper's power being nicknamed after it. The 7 nightmares correlate to the 7 elements, none of which are related to the concepts of sins. The fact that you've made the correlation means either you're skimming the story or reading into things that aren't even there.
Tama Sai is the only parody character in the entire novel, and he isn't even similar to the original besides looks and an early joke. His character is explored more in later chapters.
The vast majority of my characters, world, etc. are unique. Plenty of characters take partial inspiration from other works, but that's completely normal in writing. Everyone takes ideas from things they've read/watched in the past, and no ideas are truly 100% original.
The only accurate thing in this review is that:
1. My pacing is too fast in the early chapters (which I've admitted to multiple times. I don't really perfect pacing until around chapter 20)
2. Some plot devices being used to force the story along in the early chapters. Such as the dad thing. This could've been done better, and I've improved a lot since then.
3. MC is similar to Edward Elric only in his power being similar in the early chapters and that he is missing a limb(limbs later on). His combat style is nothing like Elric, nor are his powers even capable of letting him fight like Elric. His personality is super different. Especially as we dive into his character more deeply in later chapters. He's far more comparable to Leylin from WMW than Ed Elric. Also, Ed is my namename. MC was named after myself for the record.Steampunk Apocalypse!
SnoozySloth: Of course I'm giving myself five stars. I would say this is the best story ever written, but this is the 2nd novel I've started. So I suppose we will say it tied for first place with my other novel! Haha, in all seriousness please leave reviews with your thoughts guys! Thanks!Steampunk Apocalypse!
Soridida: I wasn't really expecting much when I started reading this novel, but it surprised me. We met a young boy who full of hopes strive to become an engineer, but unexpectedly gets a power in an attack. Young boy slowly becomes different and suffers through tragedies like torture and deah of his father. Sometimes you wonder if the author is a sadist... My favorite part is the recollection of past lives
Actually maybe Dupe getting pregnant.... Cannot decide.
Overall I just adore how this story defines emotional growth thought experience and never making it weird.
Thank you for writingSteampunk Apocalypse!
Rossa: Well. At first, Im actually read this cuz im bored and have nothing to do. But suddenly I found myself binge reading this entire day and night
So you can suppose that I am like this story.
The thing is, when I'm read this novel suddenly I am remember about code geass. Dunno why. Cuz the mc maybe.
I just hope this not end like code geass tho
Please 😂 pretty please?
And make the mc more of with more mutants flesh.
Till no hint of humanity in him
Even tho I dunno if he still have that
I'm writing a long review hmmm
Keep. Up the good work lad
And became slave to the readers!
Crapss: I like the way author develop character. MC childish and naïve mindset tempered by world setting. This is not a story of righteousness. This is a story about MC journey to accomplish what he want. Everything explained rationally. Inspirational story.Steampunk Apocalypse!
midnight1112: My favorite piece of writing on this app. Author does an amazing job describing events and characters. Some ideas are inspired by outside sources and are integrated in a comical way, such as OP Baldy. Keep up the great work!Steampunk Apocalypse!
FvckinBored: Been ignoring this novel in the past 'cause I taught the story is a generic one. But because of desperation cause I ran out of things to read I finally gave in and tried it.....Didn't know it was this good!!!....definitely recommended to those that haven't read thisSteampunk Apocalypse!
Dalmeida: Nothing like a mad scientist with some good allies and some plot armor but for a greater good!
The beginning (15+chapters) is of a lower quality but keep going, you will be pleased, great world and a good mc await you, and when I say a good mc, is the quality because here when have a anti hero done wright!Steampunk Apocalypse!
Hecate13: At first, it was choppy and fast, not a lot about his personality was explained. I really like having a sort of evil protagonist. I'm sad to see this become premium since I'm a free reader and am already spending on two other novels, but one of them finishing, so maybe I'll focus on this. I'm happy for the author though, since they get to make that dough.
I wish I knew more about the nightmares and how the apocalypse occurred. I like the character depth of some, and how cliche free this is compared to others.
I'm not very good at reviewing books....
Overall, very naisu!!!!Steampunk Apocalypse!
Casualgrain11: [ONLY MINOR SPOILERS]
Fully caught up so I think I am finally eligible to write a review.
Currently by far one of the most well written novels I have read so far out of all the novels I have read. Very logical story progression and no stupid decisions made nor indescribable luck.
The story pans out very well and kept my attention the whole time. I never really lost interest and finished catching up after a few days of reading and now actively wait on updates.
Skip this part if you don't live in the US. As a reader that currently lives in the US, more specifically florida. I really enjoy how I can actually relate to the locations listed in the novel and not only just get a general feeling for them like other novels I have read that take place in china or the future.
However that isn't to say that the novel has no flaws. Everything has a flaw somewhere however the flaws in this novel are only minor flaws that just feel out of place. Only a minor spoiler here so if you don't want any skip the rest of this paragraph. The MC eventually is able to fly and can fly from florida up to NY in 6 hours if I recall correctly. That's 179 miles per hour (approx.) Still that is pretty fast just to be flying as a single person in the sky.
All in all, I highly recommend this novel to anything looking for books that have a logical progression and a great story while you are at it. However this novel is not for snowflakes as there is a great deal of brutally that the whole world takes part in, each continent having its own view. That is all I am going to say here, if you want to know more maybe you should just read the novel. It is relatively short at the point I am posting this only being at chapter 93, the end of volume 2. Well, I go on for a while and am bad at endings, so I'll just leave it here. Goodbye reader.Steampunk Apocalypse!

LordDaoThief: Man, let me tell you something man, let me tell you something man! Snoozy is a phenomenal writer! This is his first book so some people didn’t like the beginning by the way he has grown and progressed with his story telling and world building, they way the Ed our MC has developed its simply mind blowing! There is development of the Ed’s character, mentality and ambition; as well as his powers. The research done into other cultures as well with the combination of western and eastern concepts along with the authors own ideas, they form this expertly crafted story! I don’t want to spoil anything but all I can say is our MC has neutral mindset maybe chaotic neutral mean he will help others but he also will see through his goals and ambitions if it means ignoring someone’s plight, using others or putting himself in harms way. Ed is really OP he’s above average at best where we stand but he’s unmatched in his ability to plot and see plans coming to fruition. The best thing you can do is add this to your library and just read it yourself, don’t take my opinion on anything other than stick through the beginning as this was his first work! He has another book as well that people love I haven’t read it yet but I will, even with it being on hiatus and him wanting to rework it, because he is just that good at drawing you In and i would love to see how he developed with that one as well as when he reworks it how he mad it that much better. I guess I kinda review both but he is great and the story is great! You still reading this? Why?! You should be reading the story at this point! Can’t Wait to see you in the comments of the newer chapter leave me reply to my comments and let me know if I got you started lolSteampunk Apocalypse!
ilsunny: Well written post-apocalypse esper vs aliens story. Mc rises from the despair and pain for revenge and power to control his fate.
His esper ability to transfigure materials in the steampunk era mixes technology and science fiction is great creativity and not totally illogical random fantasy adds realism that you can immerse in.
One of the best stories out that beat mainstream novels hands down.Steampunk Apocalypse!
CsK: The book was going great until the author completely messed up... And killed the only decent character in the story (Mordy). I am leaving my review at 5 stars due to the fact that I am not sure that the author can take criticism and if he sees a bad review he will kill him forever. I hope for a rewrite with Mordy, or he gets revived.Steampunk Apocalypse!
Red_Tempest: Wonderful novel: definitely my new top original. I love the steampunk ideas and themes. I am glad you did not drop it after the contest: keep writing pls.
I like the OP MC and his goals. His abilities are srsly ridiculous. The factions in the wotld are messed up: like nearly everyone is cruel. But its the apocalypse so I guess thats ok.
Mc seems to hold up ok after going through terrible situations.
I do wish he would lay low for some time and build up his power. Like why does he always keep trying to join/start a faction. He could wander for a while. And maybe even stockpile weapons in a hidden warehouse with his abilities.Steampunk Apocalypse!
existing: The story made me read it fast because it keeps on adding my curiosity. So I didn't bother looking for grammar and spelling errors.
Stability of updates: excellent. 5 CH now in a period of 5-6 days?
Story development: the MC just started to develop his abilities, couldn't say more since it's only starting.
Character design: like what some people on the comment said, mc is somehow like deku. A bullied kid>got powers>his bully came with him on the academy>they will become enemies.
Fun Prediction: they're going to be friends in the future? 😊😂
I still like the MC tho, got a good impression of him. I like that he's into inventing. The vibes he gave me is kinda like deku of hero academia/ a bit Dean of dark king / and a bit Edward elric?
World background: the world after apocalypse + steam punk era. Deserves 5/5 for me.
Suggestions? No suggestions haha. Just keep doing this and don't drop it if possible.

Asiano_Casino: Gotta say. So far, there’s one thing has been bugging me. The writing. Sometimes letters that are supposed to be capitalized aren’t, missing periods at the end of dialogues, misused words, and more grammatical mistakes. I’m a person that always notices the little things, and it’s always the little things that ruins EVERYTHING.Chrysalis
nemery11: Why are there story in first person more and more!!????!?!!!???!!?!!??!!??!!???????????????????????!!!!!!!!!! ¡!!!!!????????? ¿!!??????!!??!! ¡??Chrysalis
Adam: It was an overall ok novel from what i read, i just got annoyed at how everything he seemed to do seemed to force an advancement in the overall plot, most things shouldn't effect everyone else, he makes loads of really stupid decisions which he doesn't seem to lean from which annoys me, and half of each chapter just seems to be him bitching and complaining about one thing or another, i skipped in 5 chapters hoping it would improve, but it seemed he still complains so i'm dropping the bookChrysalis
N0xiety: If you are looking to read about a smart human mind stuck inside an ants body in a world with game like leveling/evolution system, i'm sorry to say but you will be disappointed. Mc is bordering on mental deficiency already, but that is the least of the problem. What i mean is, there is a difference between a human mind stuck inside an ants body, and an ant with human memories. One is a human first ant second, but this mc seems to be an ant first, human second. This is not coping with being stuck in the body of an ant as a human, no, this is more like slowly losing yourself and actually becoming just a slightly smarter ant. Both in mind and body. So if you are looking for a novel like Kumo Desu Ga Nani Ka, you will be sorely disappointed...Chrysalis

Moriarty1313: Only thing good about this novel is its world background
Everything else like characters and the story itself feels like ****.I read almost 30 chaptrrs thinking it might get good but it stayed ****.The romance is the worst of it all it feels too forced and not at all natural.Once Human, Now a Parasite
PillowNoona: "Luck has really a part of life, huh?"
I'll be honest... I haven't read that far into it. But I don't think I have any interest in going any further.
When I first started the read it seemed super interesting and I was excited to see where it went, expecting another good survival semi-loner build em up with the usual BA and cunning main character. But then he randomly enters a cave. Gets an absurdly good body. Learns busted dark magic. Gets a 2x experience skill. Gets an entire set of robes and accessories, each of which practically doubling his stats (one giving him Goku's nimbus cloud). And finally practically just finds a pot of experience bringing him From his hard worked lvl 24 to a easy 80 (etc.). Basically... The quick turn of events all in one chapter brought me from excitedly curious to flacid at how boring ad unimpressive the quality of the me and story is.Once Human, Now a Parasite
thisisjustatest: This is the worst novel i have read so far in webnovel, if it was possible to give a 0 for the score, i would have done it.
The first 10 chapters are good but it's just a trap...Once Human, Now a Parasite
