she's not wrong, it's said pretty early in the story and established even further back in their history. Also Slypha holds a bit more power than Meron. At every turn women in this story have held almost every important position.

it's also a great depiction of backsliding into old habits. He has made progress, but the depth and level of trauma he's experienced makes it very easy to backslide. It works to maintain character growth, while also reminding the reader's this is where he was then, and this is where he is now.

Don't think so. All you're missing out on here is a round two or three lines of "He put his head between her legs and tasted her." I actually completely missed what happened the first time he did it with Shae. Nothing that takes away from the story, you'll still know they did it.

She struggled against him, pushing him away while they kissed. Somewhere during that time that they fought each other, her passion ignited. Her arms and legs wrapped around him and she pulled him closer. She screeched in sonics when the seed started to return, oddly enough, this time it didn't affect him. "Bastard." She moaned against his lips.

he also absorbed miasma way back and what he puts out should be stronger than the normal miasma people encounter. it could be that it's fusing with his other elements and will give them a corrosive or parasitic effect

He studied Grey some more and noticed Grey's shriveled body was his own doing. Other than the cracks which were healing up, Grey should be fine after some rest. Calming his mind, he looked at the Head of the Burchard Family and gave him a nod.

Unless it was edited out, the guardian all but explicitly stated that Grey is from The Dawson family. They decided to let him do as he pleases as long as it doesn't harm the faction or tell him about it since the Family didnt tell him

The Faction Leader and the Light Elementalist disappeared from the place. Letting a stranger enter this deep into their Faction was very dangerous, but they wanted to show this person how much they value Grey. Besides, a Family that can groom such a genius and sends a powerful guardian with him would not be weak.
