Yeah a ten year old boy talking bad about perfumes is so unreasonable while a gym leader refusing to do there job because a child was being childish is totally reasonable.

Seeing that Erika is so easy to talk to he remembered ash in the original plot talking nonsense in the perfume shop thinking that perfume was a useless thing.

I can easily think of some BS like the forth left an imprint of himself on the nine tail seal and come out only when he get the head band to teach him a bit every day. Seals are hard so can’t prove it or not because messing with the nine tail seal is just a great idea.
