I think you meant to use sly* instead of 'sky'.

The kid had said and done stuff that would make it unbelievable that he was just 12 years old. The sky grin he made, the manner run which he spoke, the craftiness he exhibited… Jared was the most bizarre child of that age he had met.

She used her finger to check his vision and then she pushed took off the straps that were tying down the guy. She said, "Before you are clear to get out of this place, I would like to conduct a few checks to make sure that you are healthy both physically and mentally."

Tiberius was rambled by the gaze. After the punch, his breathing was disrupted and his limbs had lost strength. He took a step back to retreat but he fell down on his butt. Shi Lang slowly walked forward, one step at a time. His lips were moving but Tiberius could not listen to what he was saying. His mind was overtaken by fear for his life.

Shi Lang fought with his palms open, this helped him divert and distribute the impact better while at the same time, the soft and hard principles he implied troubled Tiberius a lot as well. Shi Lang did not take a step back while facing the attack, he would move his feet but shift the wait for his body.

The one I met just now wasn't the real illusionist, it was her shadow. She decided to sacrifice it in return for escaping here. She even dumped her chance to get that skill just to stay unrestricted by me.

It was risky, but the group will focus on the one they had seen earlier and believed to be dealt with sooner. This was psychological fishing. Amelia came up with this tactic because she could basically waltz in and out of this place. Shi Lang had no objection because, with his ability, he will be able to pinpoint where Amelia was, and then they would be able to kill the natives quickly.
