Apparently they’re MUCH tougher then they look.

Aaaaaand they're gone. Another pair fly up to engage in what I'm coming to understand is more like a fun pastime for the Magpei rather than a serious fight. They just seem to love smashing the heck out of each other, and for whatever reason, they don't seem to get hurt much. Perhaps they're just much tougher than they look?

"YOU THINK I HAVEN'T BEEN IN COMMUNICATION WITH MY PEOPLE OUTSIDE? HOW DARE YOU DENY INVOLVEMENT AFTER ATTEMPTING TO DROP A MOUNTAIN ON MY FLEET?!"

I kind of love how issac is constantly comparing her to his mom, it kind of makes her a lot more friendly seeming.

However, he had to give Eran Thouris some credit, she might have his dear departed mother beaten.

Sorry I meant: FAMST.

It's hard to believe she's a leader, given her easy-breezy attitude, but not only is she a member of the council, she's also a certified, bonafide commander of her own personal army. I wonder if they've come up with a name for themselves yet? Vibrant's speedsters? Always Accelerating Ants?

[BY THE GODS ABOVE AND THE DEMONS BELOW, HOW!!???]

And somewhere between the two, there was a version of himself that Sunny never wanted to meet, let alone fight. The Mad Prince, which had come and gone, changing everything.

I wounder if Cassie shares all this, would neph and crew just wait a bit for sunny to hopefully return?

Changing Star seemed like something almost inevitable, now that his fate — or lack thereof — depended on how fierce and unrelenting her assault on the monstrous First Seeker would be.

I feel like they will be rather happy for you, sunny, this bond has done nothing but cause you problems.

They had the right to feel that way. He had abandoned them on the eve of a perilous battle, leaving to pursue a selfish goal. Was there a more obvious betrayal than that? Imagining the faces of his friends when they learned of his departure, Sunny felt his heart ache.

Many tentacles

Just like always, her movements were too smooth to be the result of walking. Sunny had seen what was hiding behind that dress once, and he never wanted to see it again.

I aint built different, I’m built wrong

A normal person, certainly a normal ant, would have learned from their mistakes after the first, absolutely after the second, near-death experience. Me, though? Oho! Absolutely not. I'm made of sterner stuff.

The unspeakably large chunk of rock is no longer my concern, as above my head, it is being devoured by what I have made.

It has to make up a new appraisal rating because entirely screwing the timeline, then unscrewing it is way more than would otherwise have happened.

I was just about to post that, nice

One time, the impregnable hull of the Chain Breaker was even breached. Luckily, they were flying above the currents at the time, so the ship did not take any water. But having to hastily patch the damaged section in the middle of a prolonged battle made everyone remember why arrogance was the quickest way to die in the unforgiving world of the Nightmare Spell.

Yes, actually, that might help kill him.

Probably the sword

'What is this weird feeling… it is as if I'm being helped by myself, from beyond the grave — and not only that, but that dead version of me is also a truly dreadful Nightmare Creature.'
