It took him nearly an hour during which he kept the ring hot in the forge but not melted. once done he finally started his forging while pushing the will to protect his mind into the metal with each hammer strike. Hours came and pasted but Nick remained in place striking the ring over and over again until finally he heard a dull hum coming from the ring proving he was successful and he had to grab the anvil to stabilize himself as the exhaustion hit him all at once. "I name you "Sanar" after the very thing you were created to defend!" Nick said with a surprising amount of authority and the ring stopped humming as it accepted it's name.

Darkseid's body crashed through a building, then skidded across the pavement of his dark city. A low groan or what could be described as such came from his disformed mouth. His vision was blurred, and blood came out of him quickly. Shock, fear, and hatred feeling him as Drüin soon arrived beside him. The God of Might held out his hand, and felt the Sword of Asgard return to him. The blade gleamed in Drüin's palm as for the first time, his expression became slightly softer. He glared down at Darkseid, staring at the Dark God of Apokolips irregularly. His rational mind had returned to him as he held the Sword of Asgard with a tight grip. "Darkseid, I know a simple truth that many others may not be aware of", Drüin began to say in a slightly calmer tone, "Said truth is this...I cannot kill you, the real you at least. I am aware of how powerful that you really are. I know what true power that you hold."

"For...Drüin..." Brunhilde uttered for the last time, before Darkseid's boot heel came crashing down onto her head. The Apokoliptian crushed Valkyrie's skull like an egg. Her brain matter and blood splattering everywhere, even some of it reaching Drüin's face. The God of Might stared in shock, watching as Darkseid twisted his ankle for good measure, as if adding salt into her death. Drüin was in shock, Brunhilde was someone that he had known for a long time. He had even entertained the idea of taking her as a bride, but thought otherwise. He cared for her, and she reciprocated the feeling. Brunhilde was the first Asgardian whom the God of Might could call friend, who he could call a second sister. Now she was dead...just like that.
