That in the future Cassie saw, there was no escape.

"Do you want to know what I think that you should do? Give up on your princely title. Resign from the Imperial Rubarthan Household. Sever all of the remaining ties to your deadbeat father and start living a life that you can actually enjoy. If you want to take it a step further, then you can always join my clan. I do not dare to make a lot of promises to you, but if there is one resource we have in abundance, it is love and family! You will definitely be able to gain the affection that you need to reinvent yourself as a passionate artist!"

"No. That is not a good idea, Ves." The authoritative True God said. "Both Irene and Emma possess the strongest ego and personality among the three. Emma can serve as a good template for an evil goddess, but it will be difficult to prevent any negative influence from spilling over into Irene. The best possible candidate is the Ragnarok."

If Cynthia was right about this, then she had just described a relatively simple and realistic strategy for Irene to become one of the most powerful God Kings in the universe!
Sci-fi · Exlor
He agreed with that sentiment as well. Ves fell silent as he thought about Irene's changing relationship with the Rubarthans. He even began to sense an incredibly profitable opening!

Master Quan smirked. "We already know your weakness! The bulk of your powerful physique shall remain locked as long as you have lost control over the space that occupies your form!"
Sci-fi · Exlor
Just as he was about to unfold his true body right away, Ves experienced a wave of pain that ran across his entire form!

Ves narrowed his eyes and leaned forward. "The Fridaymen have been murdering, kidnapping, stealing, exiling and slandering my fellow Larkinsons and I for at least a decade. Thousands of my blood relatives as well as my adopted relatives have died at the hands of unprovoked aggression from the citizens of the Friday Coalition and its Red Ocean counterpart. A formal declaration of war has never been made, but we have never signed a formal peace treaty either. Current developments may not allow either of us to pursue open hostilities against us anymore, but that does not mean that I am eager to do business with the Fridaymen. There are plenty of alternative products on the market."

"Unless I work on commission, I generally do not wish to restrict the market availability of my products. The only exceptions are the colonial states that my clan and I have conflicted with in the past. That means the Friday Colonies by the way. As far as I am aware, I am on good terms with every other colonial state, no matter whether it is first-class, second-class or third-class. As a mech designer and an entrepreneur, I prefer to make friends rather than enemies. It is my principle that my mechs should benefit our society as a whole, and not a select clique or subgroup that only represents a part of our great civilization."

"Acacia Bratislava of the Terran Telegraph. Professor Larkinson, your current permanent residence is located on New Constantinople VIII in the Terran Alliance, which you have emigrated to at the first possible opportunity. Since you are both teaching and studying in the best mech community of human-occupied space, how soon will you debut your first Terran mech design?"
Sci-fi · Exlor
"With a getup like that, I wouldn't be surprised if he crowned himself emperor of red humanity."
Sci-fi · Exlor
In that sense, having a second son and naming him Ylvaine was nothing different than installing an additional early warning sensor onto a starship!

Part of what made parenting so fulfilling to him was that his children could develop in every direction.

For whatever reason, both Director Samandra Avikon and the Vulcanites wanted to convert more people into worshiping Vulcan.
Sci-fi · Exlor
Just as he expected, he had grown a bit taller than a typical second-class medium mech.

"By the way, there is one notable anomaly to your physique that you should know." Jovy continued and pointed out another organ inside Ves' body. "Your so-called Jutland organ has undergone substantial changes. It has not only evolved to tolerate phasewater, but it has also integrated into your phase lord physique in a more profound fashion. We believe you can utilize Worclaw energy in a more active fashion as well, though I would like to caution you to be careful about that. This is a special form of energy that is highly destructive, as you should know."
