Don't bother your brain about it, there are hardly any real consequences for layla's dumb decisions. This feels like an attempt at giving her some importance in the story when she really has none. side note: am I the only one feeling like the author hates erin.

you could probably count the number of times Layla has made a right/logical decision in one hand ✋.

honestly if that happens I feel like the story is broken, he becomes too op and we end in like next 20 chapters because there will be no one who can challenge him again, not hilston, Arthur, Bryce or any originals.

slight correction, Layla started showing interest in Quinn because of his unusual abilities and the discovery of him being a vampire. She actually started following Quinn because she fantasized about vampires.
