Fall had truly started to hit in full effect as the plants around the castle were wilting and or dying. This was great news as far as he was concerned since it included the plants in herbology that were lethargic and much easier to deal with for him. Nick had thought about making a ring to improve his ability to deal with the plants but honestly had no idea where to start since talent was not exactly something properly defined.

There was that and of the even weirder things like coming across worlds both fantastical or just made no sense such as this one I came across that had its gravity reversed so I almost fell off the path to fall into the 'sky' below me, so I quickly had to make my way past that world as seeing the tree's growing upside down from the weird purple ground above me was weird as hell.

Alex was quite irritated to discover however that the weapon he crafted from his parts was useless for his research since it swapped between elements based on whatever it was used on. since there was no dominant element using a spirit crystal to enhance the weapons affinity was entirely pointless for alex. in the end alex simply hung the longsword in it's sheathe between the elemental orbs like a decoration since he couldn't bring himself to waste all the effort he put into crafting it.
